myfxbook already using our investor password to verify data.

so, instead of using mt4 to upload our data,
why not myfxbook just connect directly to mt4 using investor password to download the history.

this way we dont need to setup anything on our side.

also, our mt4 is not running 24hours.
and ftp is very unsecure.

so it seems better/faster/safer to connect to mt4 server directly

Well, it's not possible as we have more than 30,000 accounts to process - this will create a very high load on the broker's side and will probably get our servers blocked on their side.

Got a question? Need help? Send me a message!

Wouldn't it be possible to do a 'weekly update' option using just investor access ? You can easily update accounts once a week (even once a day) by directly accessing broker servers. The weekly update option could even only work around market close so brokers wouldn't mind the additional traffic. Certainly this would provide a very good option for those people who do not need to have constant updates but just a general daily/weekly updated overview without the hassle of setting up an EA/FTP publisher. What do you think ?

one more thing...
i dont thing a lot of people trade dozens times a day...

lots of people (maybe most of us here?) trade only few times a day.

so (imho) updating the data every few hours will be ok.

or even on demand update is ok with me.
so let the update occur only when i login.
or when someone is looking at my portfolio, s/he can click on update button and wait few seconds for the update.
