still it is frustrating. I have made 3 trades today. Long made 80 pips I picked 30. short went almost 300 pips I picked 35.
The problem is that market doing this in not smooth mannner. 2 bucks up then 5 bucks down.

+62 pips not bad for a monday 😁! I used to get frustrated in days like today when the market moves a lot and I get relatively few pips, but over the years i learned that consistence is more important that big gains.
Since London the pair moved 268 pips and in the old days i would be trading (gambling) all over this big drop. I remember one night in 2007 when i made 2 grand in 30 minutes shorting the cable. But i also remember very well when 30 grand went down the drain due to my margin call err shorting the cable.
62 pips may not be much in a day like this but for the last 6 or 8 months I'm making consistent pips each week. i kinda miss the adrenaline rush of making good money in minutes but i like better my stress free and 'turtle' pips now!

still, I have to agree that consistency is far more important that making killer trades. I remember seeing chart of the guy who traded making 0.1-0.2% daily for 10 years. The most beautiful chart I have ever seen. Very consistent and inspiring confidence.

today's moves were caused by US news and we could not know how the market would react and it could reverse against us easily. when certain level shows itself as important and it is either getting broken or break out fails this is when more pips can be picked with more confidence.

When I saw the market tanking I was really tempted to jump in to a emotional trade. I made money in the past trying to catch falling knifes like today. But guess what? I gave it all back.
I'm happy with my few pips today 😁

I beg to differ Zero what i do here is post about my daily trades. Note the word 'post' thats my choice. On my thread 😁
