h to everyone, i know the topic has been already discussed but i couldn't find a solution:

i got my mt4 running in a vps (i tried 2 different ones)

i can't run the .exe

when i try manually drag the .ex4 into expert everything is fine, but when i boot the mt4, the ex4 file just disappears. how's that possible ? never saw anything like this

What VPS have You tried?

I had on ucvhost (not recommended!) , and now have on LinkUpHost , and everything works fine.

What is your location?

US - I suggest UCVhost - good for newbies and 'firsttiimers'
EU - LinkUpHost - very good services.
Asia - I dont have idea...

I mean, not Your location is such important, as Your trading server locaton.

Hi,
Might not be a VPS problem. I'm not 100% sure what you are trying to do or what your problem is.

Here's what I understand. You're copying an ex4 file into your experts folder of the MT4 installation and then restarting MT4.

However after restart you don't see the ex4 in the experts advisor tab, so you can't put it on a chart?

Is that correct? Does the EX4 program still appear in your experts folder afterwards or does it disappear from there as well?

Best regards Steve

Support were very helpful and patient in guiding me through the process to completion. So may be try to write them with your problem ?
