I have a few accounts, demo and live linked to MyFxBook and they seem to update for a while and then stop.

My live account stopped updating yesterday, yet on the platform in the journal it said everything was fine.

I restarted the PC and platform and now in the journal it says 'FTP: statement.htm failed'.

It seems to be a recurring problem.

Why would that happen and how can I fix it?

Or are the there better websites where we can keep track of out accounts?

Are you using mt4? The EA route is MUCH better. It has been years now that I am using it, never had any problems.

Yes I am using MT4.

I do not have the investor only password so was unable to set up on the EA.

Why do you need the investor password? In the EA parameters it wants your myfxbook login and myfxbook pwd to update YOUR account.

Yes sorry that was the auto update method that needs the investor password.

So when I click on MT4 EA, install V1.7.7, it finds and lists existing installations of MT4 on my PC.
Trouble is, it is not listing the 2 that have stopped updating, 1 live and 1 demo account.

Try this.

In the terminal that you want the EA (your 1 live and 1 demo account) go to file -> open data folder.

Under mql4->experts drop the myfxbook.ex4 file.
Under mql4->libraries drop the myfxbook.dll file.

In the terminal - go to tools->options, under the expert advisor tab, make sure the 'allow dll imports' is checked.

Close the terminal and open again. The expert should now appear in the navigator panel. Attach it to a chart - enter you credentials.

Now it should work.

I appreciate your help Rihan.

I have followed your clear instructions and the EA is on a chart with a smiley face.
The journal shows, 'Expert Myfxbook: loaded successfully'.

I will give it some time and see if the updating on MyFxBook starts again.

Edit: Now I am getting the messages
'Publisher failed
'FTP. statement.htm failed'.

Is it the publisher giving these errors. If the EA gives errors it will be in the journal tab (or in the experts tab, can't remember which one - my accounts running on my pc at home - I can read only from work)

Close the publisher, it is just confusing the worx.

If you want.. Download teamviewer (free, Think they are at 10 already) and pm me the user/password. I can then take a look.

Thanks again for your help Rihan.

I closed the chart with the EA on.

Should I untick the 'allow dll imports'? Is it safe to leave ticked?

I had 5 terminals running successfully a few weeks ago and 1 by 1 they stopped updating without me making any changes.
Spent hours trying to get them started again.

Thanks for the teamviewer offer. But I think I will call it a day and look for an alternative to myfxbook.

Oh I forgot to mention - when in the expert properties , under 'common' the allow dll's and 'allow live trading' must also be ticked.

You are welcome - sorry you are throwing in the towel. It is probably safer to have it unticked - not sure.

Good luck.

Thanks again for you time Rihan.

I am trying FXBlue at the moment, so far it was very easy to set up and there are more features making analysis of trades convenient.

You are welcome. Glad it works for you. Fxblue not very user friendly and very complicated (FOR ME)
If I was you, I'd rather get myfxbook working 100%. But you are not me..no two people on earth do things exactly like the other..Good Luck fellow trader....

I also came across this problem. Decided to go down the path of upgrading all accounts to FXBook.dll

Worked on some account (easy as 1.2.3) just by putting the dll in Libraries, .ex4 in Experts and of course ticking the boxes in Tools -> EA Setting to enable Imports..

But it failed on 2 account, I went down the path of reinstalling .NET, and in the end gave up.

But now FTP also gives the same error.

If I select History -> This Month, it uploads justs fine with NO errors. But when FXBook generated 'System History Analysis wasnot completed..' It brings me to a help page saying to Include All History, but then then generation fails on the Metatrader side.

I can only assume this is same reason why both the DLL version and FTP version are failing. The DLL version starts ok, but during transmitting gets an Access Violation).

Does anybody have a resolusion for this problem?

I like fxbook, but do want all my history in.

Hey All, turns out there is feature - never knew it existed.

There is an Method to Add a new Account using Auto Update. Instead of choosing FTP or EA choose Auto when you create your new account. Works beautifully!!!

Well .. a small Eureka moment for me
after months and months of running into this FTP Statement.htm error and all the frustration that comes along with it ..

I finally found the reason for it .. (FOR ME that is )

Try setting the history of your MT4 Client to 1 day , or 3 days .. or whatever as long as its not 3 months or ALL history
you should be in the pink ..
Coz if your running a HFT trader your statement files will become TOO big to successfully upload

I ran into troubles last week , after I altered the history to 3 days or custom .. it successfully updated withing minuts ...

cheers
