Relationship between mt4 and Internet explorer

How are these two related. On my cheap vps(xp service pack2, server 2003). Mt4 clients keep asking me to update to IE8.0
Is this critical?should I be worried

I firstly hear that MT4 require IE ! Something is strange then.

MT4 uses IE browser ActiveX/plugins to display website help and few other things , its better that you updated it.

Problem is, I can't. My server version and servicepack mean IE7 is the highest I can go but mt4 asking for IE 8.0 and higher

Problem is that I have 4 VPSes , 2 with Windows 2000 server and 2 with Windows 2008 server and I had no such notification any time.

Hmm...I see. I don't know. I tried upgrading from IE 7 to 8 it said version 7 is the highest your system can have 😕

I wonder if this affects my latency aswell

it don't effect latency , it will only effect to display the help and marketplace , if you cant upgrade then ignore error , IMO it will have no effect on trading activity.

ah ok, in that case noworries, I use vps for signals,help i can access from my laptop no big deal 😄
