Scalping is a short time trading approach which success depends on lowest trading spreads, so we the traders who are particularly scalpers have to choose the currency pair which has comfortable trading spreads. Even though many of us depend on EUR/USD for scalping but I don’t like this bass pair for the sake of scalping in a proper way due its volatile movements.

Well, I use mainly moving average trading strategy for scalping trading! In average I get 10% monthly return in my live trading! Yes, I do mainly scalping trading, because, it offers me quick trading result either it’s SL or TP.

JPY pairs can offer a better scalping as volatility is higher. for me pound/yen is the way for scapling :)

I have never said this before, but I will repeat it one more time :)
For scalping is vital execution - not just tight spreads :)

I personally prefer the lower volatility pairs. I have found I get stopped out more frequently with the higher volatility pairs. As such, I do not trade JPY. I also do not trade from 2pm-6pm MDT to avoid getting bad spreads.
Short-term price movements are market inefficiencies - take advantage

Scalping requires a lot of patience to watch the screens for long time. Also, one loosing trade can wipe out a series of profits which can bring frustration if you are manually trading. But you can develop semi-automated trading systems for helping you for scalping.

Low spread, good execution and good market movement is required for being successful in scalping. In scalping you are targeting small pips quickly and so you have to pay the spread to broker every time you open and close a trade irrespective of profit or loss. So only highly profitable trading set ups should be executed.

i think manually administrated trade is much viable option while doing hyper scalping.. as we are opening position on a min or 5min time frame, to cut down losses immediately if things are not moving in our direction, second option will be to have a very tight SL.

All major pairs are suitable for scalping because of low trading spreads!

You can scalp also on M15 or M30 TF - this will give more time for reaction :)
For more aggressive scalping - tick charts are great :)
Some of my chart are set on 144 ticks

Yes, scalping in a higher timeframe is a better option to improve performance of scalping by avoiding the quick reaction based false trading decisions

Would trading on M30 still be considered scalping? Isn't it too long a time frame for that?

Each the trader has a choice of the broker to be used , should the trader can choose a broker that is more appropriate to the concept of trading that will be used , if you love scalping should choose the broker that allows trading concept such as this.

Most brokers are fine with 15-30 min trading. It is only when it is down to seconds that there can be problems

Don't use one trading strategy, like me I switch from system to system, if the market is flowing, I switch to trending system, if its ranging, I do taking profits as fast as I can, but trending market is best for me, but I switch to system from time to time depending on market conditions

like this gentleman said, don't focus on 1 strategy. It's like having multiply incomes from different field you know, be flexible.

I'll never believe scalping can earn enough money. Аor me scalpers are newbie. Just starting their way into the trade.
But for experienced traders, scalping isn't suitable as for me.
