Hi Everyone,

We had several questions about the upcoming contest, so if you have any, please post it here and Jason Rogers from FXCM will be sure to answer.

Jason, here are already asked questions:
- Can the winner withdraw the $3000 or $2000 at once? if not, then when? I do not find any information about withdraw rules. Can you clarify?
- Are users from BC(Canada) can participate?
- Is this competition to be run using NFA rules or UK trading rules?
- Are EA's allowed?
- Is there a max number of lots allowed per trade?
- Is there a max leverage allowed?
- Is there a max number of trades allowed simultaneously?

Thanks!

Contest Questions.

1. From the contest rules:
'FXCM has sole discretion determining whether a client's deposit and trading activity entitles them to retain the prize credit. '

Regarding Prize, has the winner any obligation to deposit his own cash in order to receive the funded account as a bonus?

2. From the contest rules:
'To be eligible for participation, traders must be willing to let their name, and trading record for the time period of the contest be published and/or distributed by FXCM, its agents'

Has this name be the real one or can be the myfxbook user name?
If it is the real one, can this remain not associated with user name in public view?

What will be displayed during contest results? Real name or Myfxbook user name?

How the winner can hold permanent the separation between user name and real name even if he wins the competition?

According to the FXCM website, they currently offer 50:1 maximum leverage.

I was wondering the same thing. Like, whether the winner has to deposit a minimum amount to receive this credit. But I think their current minimum deposit is only $50 or $100.

Just adding another question regarding upcoming contest.

I couldn't find info about leverage on contest demo accounts. I know only the deposit will be $50k.

Anyone can provide this info?

thanks,
A.

Hi Ethan,

Here are the answers to some of the questions, we should have more details on the rest tomorrow:

- Are users from BC(Canada) can participate?
Users from BC (Canada) would not be eligible unfortunately since the contest prize is an FXCM trading account with the funds already deposited, and FXCM UK is unable to open accounts for traders in British Columbia.

- Are EA's allowed?
Yes! EA's are allowed.

- Is there a max number of lots allowed per trade?
You can open as many lots as you want, considering of course you have the margin necessary to open the position(s).

- Is there a max number of trades allowed simultaneously?
You can have any number of trades running simultaneously

Cheers,

Jason

Hi Splexin,

If you win the contest, you would be required to complete the account application with FXCM, and then FXCM would deposit the contest prize into the account. You would not be required to make the minimum deposit.

Of course if you want to setup a live account on your own after the contest, the minimum is $50 to open a micro account and $2000 to open a standard 10k account using MT4.

Questions regarding the contest account:

LEVERAGE: How much is the leverage of the contest account?

STOP-OUT: How much is the stop-out level of the account?
