VPS for trading

Has anyone experience to make use of a VPS for trading?
I wanted to make use of the VPS offer from MB Trading and I do not know what to fill in in the hostname asked by the PhotonVPS signup. ( MB Trading make use of the PhotonVPS: http://www.photonvps.com/mbt.html ) I do not know what hostname to fill in????? The support of PhotonVPS does not respond to my question. Maybe here has anyone experience to make use of a VPS for trading? Thanks in advance |

Please excuse me if I'm wrong.

Yes,
But THEY should provide a name for access to their VPS. I make use of THEIR server, not the opposite. So my ip / address / hostname does not matter? Right? Really weird... Anyone? |

I just filled in www.google.com as hostname and they accepted it. So sorry to anyone if you come to my vps if you want to search something.

update:
(serious mode) Just got answer from them: 'Hello Thank you for contacting us. You can use any unique hostname as you want. If you want to change hostname after vps creation no worry about it.' problem solved. end of story |

Very disappointed in the execution of the setup of my VPS at PhotonVPS. Their support promised me several times it would be up and running before weekend. Still I have nothing, but paid their invoice of course. Dammit.
Log: Me: Is it possible that the preparation of my VPS is done before weekend? I want to make use of it from Monday. PhotonVPS(Mike Pan): Hello, Yes ! We will create your vps before week-end and we'll get back to you vps creation welcome mail. Me: Dear support, Quote: 'Yes ! We will create your vps before week-end and we'll get back to you vps creation welcome mail.' No mail received about the VPS. I had hoped i could start setting up already. PhotonVPS (Jeff Molan): hello you will get welcome email in next 2 hrs thank you for your patience |

I use VPS since early 2008.
No problems so far. Today I'm using a Cloud VPS, because they usualy are 100% uptime against 99.9 from VPS. You may find good coupon codes for than in google. Good research Tradingboy I Trade You Profit. Forex is suitable for smart and patient people... |

I use two services for VPS servers to host MetaTrader 4 platforms, Metatrader247.com and IBFX. Both services are very good and the support at Metatrader247.com is excellent. If you have an IBFX account with over $5k the VPS service fee of $34.99 is reimbursed each month.
