I see this was already answered, but I felt it would be ok to add a few more comments.

MetaTrader4 always displays the BID price. That is the price at which you enter a Short, or close a Long trade.
You can have MT4 show the ASK price as well: select a chart, click F8 (Properties), then check 'Show Ask line'.

Also keep in mind the spread is variable, and it can easily go above the 'normal' values when news is released.
