For me, the pairs with highest spreads are my least favorite cause it’s hard for me to cross over the spreads point to make a profit and I have to wait for a long time if they do go over that. I like the popular ones due to comfortable spreads and high volume on trades. I don’t like any two European pairs with each other as they are not having much movement due to the fact that they re kind of similar in nature and therefore less movement.

I dislike EUR/USD - it's terribly volatile and prone to long-term ranges at the same time.

Кроме основных шести валютных пар, мне большге никакие не нравятся, потому что они подвержены своим внутренним новостям и могут 'выбиваться' из общего тренда.

The dollar index is going down though. the EUR/USD is a great pair to buy and hold position for a while.

Why some FX pairs should be disliked? :)
I would say better to monitor few pairs and to select for trend trading and for choppy trading. For example pairs like GBP/NZD, USD/TRY and etc. are trending - then apply systems for trading in trend.
Other like EUR/CHF tend to range more often and then range trading strategies would be applicable with higher rate of success :)

I can not say that I have a currency pair that I hate most. I can say that I do not like usd/zar because of the wide spread and high volatility. And I lost a lot of money on it.

Hate is an emotion.
There is no space for emotion in forex trading.
Even the volatile pairs can bring you profit.
Even the exotic high spread pairs can bring you profit.
It all depends on your approach.

I dislike the pair in general because of its extensive periods of consolidation. Sometimes even that pair is good for trading, that much is certain.

The traders who are particularly beginners have to choose the pair which has comfortable trading spreads and not volatile as like EUR/USD. This can be great for them to lead a comfortable trading life with certainly , because the market is too much volatile and any volatile trading pair can be dangerous for the newcomers due to lack of exact market principle.

Which pair would you recommend that fits those conditions?

@Mohammadi
while EURUSD offers very good spreads it is also a lot volatile especially due to various US/EUR news, political statements or voting polls

The best thing EUR/USD is good for is scalping, exactly because of the volatility and the small spreads. Otherwise it can be a difficult pair to trade. Unfortunately, most newbies first start with EUR/USD, it seems.

GBPJPY , big spread and weird movement. Always seems to reverse when I enter a trade!

What's weird about the way it moves? It's just been forming a correction for the past year?
