Hi,
This is Prashant, forex trader and a trainer. I enjoy using a mathematical trading system.
I want to convert my methdos into an EA but I want to know a few things here:

1) Will the broker whose charting application I use come to know my methods? Is there a way I can keep it a secret?

 2) Will the EA also place automated trades in the account, without the broker having access to my EA ?

3) If above two not valid, what all IT infrastructure do I need where the rates come form one place, my software scans the markets and automatically places orders in the account?

4) How can I backtest my software without broker coming to know it?

I'll really appreciate your answers!

Regards,
Pc

1. No
2. Yes
3. Need a programmer, remote server and a API broker.
4. Same as 1 and 2.

So How much till will the software take to place the trades in the account? Since this system works on tick chart, there hardly is any time to set sl's and TP's .

I would like to go with 3rd option, then where do I find the remote sever and what should I see while hiring a programmer?

What kind of trading terminal do you use?

If its MT4, EA's run every tick, and it takes less time to run the actual program than placing the actual trade. If your broker is a market maker, and you need to set SL and TP in a second order, this is done once the order is open, dependant on how the EA is programmed (opening an order must come first, later the modification of the order).

Hi Soeren,
I can use either one, stanalone as well as MT4 as long as it gives a tick chart. But on mT4 also, will the broker come to know my system?
