It was a little hairy there for a couple of days, but yes, this has been overall a good week thus far - especially given the fact that I missed a few golden opportunities, like yesterday when I bought Eur/Usd at 1.3792 - got stopped out at 1.3808, but my original profit target was 1.3850, which, sure enough, it went to after the FOMC minutes came out. But I don't trade around that FOMC any more than I do the monthly NFP - gotten slapped often enough to learn that lesson.

mus - Thanks, but those signals would've gotten you killed about a week ago - I do this better just on my own.

Melvin - I just turned on my computer and looked and that was the first thing that jumped out at me, 'What, the way Eur/Aud has been getting murdered, it's going up 100 pips on the day? - Noooo, I don't think so.' Plus, it was up against the 200 MA on the hourly chart, and had failed to break decisively above it after being there for several hours. And when I sold it and almost immediately had a 10-pip profit, I was pretty sure my analysis was correct. Worked out well - wish I'd sold it again when it retraced to about 1.4780. Oh well. :)

You should open your system up to auto trade.......I would have put my $50 on you ....still would, even though its more like $250 now......... Spent some time looking at your history, wish I had more time to sit down and live trade your trades for a week or two. Very interesting ...oh and all the best!

He cant do auto trade until he has traded this account for 3 months and follows the rules for auto trading.

What? Rules? Well, that probably won't work then. :)

I appreciate your confidence in me, but I'm just not comfortable being responsible for anyone's trades except my own. You can see what I'm doing here, and hopefully that may assist you in your own market analysis from time to time.
Best wishes.

I still Love following this trader, however, it can never be on auto trade per myfxbook. Its exceeded the DD ratio as a safe trader. Im sure with a larger starter balance of perhaps $300, he could really set this up as a auto trader after 3 months. Besides, If he can take $50 and turn it to ONE milliion in any time frame, he can sell lots of books and be famous for longer than 15 minutes on TV.
He needs to also trade a slightly larger account the same way and stay within the auto trader rules, so the rest of us in 3 months can benefit from his expertise. FYI, Just a freindly thought.

Sincerely

Hi Jack.

Your nickname made me watch the movie 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid'. It was in my watch list for a long time, but did not have much a free time to watch it. Finally.

Good luck and thank you.

You're so smart, Professor. :) I've actually thought about doing that, setting up a parallel account, but with a bit more money to work with. It's frustrating operating at this small level - however, that's good motivation for me to grow the account!
Oh, come on, I only violated that 'safe trader' drawdown ONCE - Before that, I think my worst drawdown was about 11% - Aren't I allowed one momentary blip of trading insanity? I mean, come on, I'm making it back, right?

Awesome movie - one of my all-time favorites. My nickname in college was 'Sundance', and it came about when my best friend bet someone $100 (and won the bet) that I could recite the entire screenplay to the movie, word for word. When I got about 1/4 of the way through and it was obvious I could do the whole movie, the guy gave up and paid up. :)
Thanks for the well wishes.

If you're wondering what in the world I'm doing this morning, it's pretty much all based on the fact that I just don't believe (not yet anyway) that Eur/Usd is going to leave a 30 pip gap on a Monday morning unfilled, and that I think the price of gold will support the Aussie, and if Gbp/Usd wanted to take out 1.6720 to the downside...well, they could have done that Friday.
Hey, I could be totally wrong, but for the moment I'm hanging in.

hello Jack, actually there is a free and easy way to let your followers auto copy your signals at real time. since your broker offers you an MT4 platform you can just visit the following site : https://www.mql5.com/en/signals/mt4?category=real

and follow the instructions in order to broadcast your trades.
thats all...:)
wish you all the best I know it is hard what you are doin, so be strong...

lakis - Thanks, but I don't have any desire to have anyone autocopying my trades - I worry enough about them when I'm the only one in them. :)

Damn it. I kind of expect the Euro to be worthless, but Gbp really let me down today. Oh well, glad it's the front of the week, not the end of the week.

lakis - Well, I started out as a futures trader over 15 years ago - switched over to mostly forex just a few years ago...and I'm pretty sure I haven't done anything quite this outrageous before. We'll see what happens. :)
