Your strategy is proving VERY successful. If you could share with me your strategy, it would mean the world to me.

Hello everyone. I've noticed some interest here in my trading so I wanted to write a long post to answer any potential questions.
Firstly, I do NOT use an EA. I trade manually based on 80% technicals and 20% fundamentals mixed with some pure gut instinct. I don't mean to be rude, but I'm not interested in 'trading' my 'system' or teaching anyone what I do. I don't have a system really, I just trade in a very simplistic way. I don't even think I could teach anyone anything with concrete or rigid rules. I do take on a sort of apprentice approximately every 6 months and allow the person to sit with me, learn the markets and see what I do. I enjoy teaching people and find it beneficial to me as I don't know many people that are interested in currency trading. A quick background on me: I grew up reading Steve Nielsen's books on Japanese candlestick charting. I think I was about 8 years old when I first read his large, dictionary like book. My father taught me about stocks and I remember making my first purchases in Merck, Archer Daniels Midland, Intel and things like that. I started a Roth IRA at the age of 14 and grew up learning about the markets in a casual manner. I left Michigan to go to college in California. I continued to invest and be interested in the markets, but they were slow and somewhat boring to me. I felt like I needed more action. About 2 years into college I began playing poker. I found that I was extremely good. I won my way into large tournaments throughout Europe and played on a daily basis online. Upon graduation I was unsure of what I wanted to do. To make a long story short, I was introduced to Forex through a stranger 3,000 miles away in Boston. I became intrigued by the FX market and learned everything I could. I skipped trading a demo account and went right to trading live as this is the best way I learn. I continued playing poker as I learned FX and supported myself for a year and a half playing poker after college. Finally, I decided I enjoyed currency trading so much that I began looking for a job as a trader. Another long story short... I was able to obtain an extremely competitive job at a hedge fund trading foreign currency futures and spot. The experience was great, but I was forced to move back to California after a year and a half. I gave up trading for a long while for many personal reasons. Since then, I've fallen back in love with Forex and started trading again. I work full time for a large financial institution and only trading part time. I hope to change that in a few months. As for those interested in a managed account, I am considering starting something with MB Trading (my broker). If you want more information or have questions you can send me a private message. I hope that helps everyone know a bit more about me and the way I trade. I'm working on starting a blog and will post that link when I get it ready. Thanks for all the support, kind words and friendly messages. Cambist |

Hi everyone, due to the large interest I've received to do managed accounts I've decided to merge this account into a managed account program with MB Trading. I've closed this account and will no longer be trading it.
If interested, I will be accepting funds for managed accounts over the next week. Feel free to PM me for my email address and receive more information. Thanks to everyone! Cambist |
