The only way to make money consistently from trading is to think for ourselves. If we allow others to think on our behalf, we will soon realize that we will be back to square one when they stop giving us signals.
Trade safe, and preserve your capital :) |

Then you have to decide your SL in pips for determining the lots not your lots to determine your SL pips...If you have logical SL level & pips to that SL is 20 Pips then you can trade 0.1 lot as your money management has granted. Hope this helps you to know the importance of PIPS in money management Cheers Alex, You are trying to convince more experienced people that you are right and they are wrong, while you don't understand the fundamentals of long term profitability. You don't even realize how much marketing, Wikipedia articles and EAs written by armatures have affected your thinking when you are talking about fixed 2% risk and fixed SL. Any truly long term, robust strategy, that will not have it's edge wiped out in a year or 2, should adapt the SL based on market conditions at the time. The most common method is based on ATR. Look it up. If SL/TP changes, then so should the lot sizes. There lots of EAs/strategies that can have negative pips with lots of profits. It's all about positioning, and confidence in that specific trade. For me, talking about pips is pointless and a waste of time. It only makes sense if all your trades are of the same size, and if this happens I can tell you, you are doing it wrong. |

Pitagora, Agreed with your thoughts & thanks for sharing the knowledge but I want to correct you with your thinking about me. I never said that I am right & others are wrong, if you go through my previous comment you can see I have clearly mentioned that this is how I know & if you know anything better I am ready learn. I have never claimed I am genius as I am not. I have started new & working hard to make it a profession, so any good thing, I am ready to learn. You are absolutely right, I trade fixed lot most of the time with fixed SL & I am doing pretty good with my strategy, I am thinking if I would have applied MM as you mentioned than I would have profited in many folds, thats interesting. So if you want to share more & help me, I am all ear here to learn from wise people. Thanks for your words. Cheers To achieve all the goals successfully. |

Alex,
I admire your openness in sharing your opinion :) Agree with Pitagora. Lot sizes should not be fixed. It should change in tandem with the current market volatility. And fixed SL may not be a good idea either. Consider this: If market is always changing, and never the same, then how can we traders apply our rigid mindsets and methodologies? |

这策略一开始就使2个25手仓位,好强劲的资金使用方法,而第二名则是使用5标准手开始交易的,如果说第二名也使用50手来开始做的话,好容易把第一名变成第二名了,呵呵。
