I understand all the rage is now Fusion but, I just thought since I hit 20% in a month on my FAP Turbo demo account I would share.

I have my demo account with Alpari US. When I switch this to a live account, will I see any differences? Has anyone done a side by side of an Alpari demo account and a Live account? I think that would be interesting to see.

I recently turned the money management off and set the lots to .1 with max lots of 2. I now that probably isn't the 'safe' thing to do with a real account of only $1K so I will probably scale back to about .05 for trading in a live account.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Am tempted to try this EA, however, there are so many conflicting reviews of it.

I reckon the max lot sizing should be set according to the maximum SL for a trade/event that you are willing to lose for your account. E.g. looking at your 02.18.2010 21:30 consecutive trades loss of total $160, that's 16% down.

Also, I don't know what was your open trade drawdown during testing, you might want to take note of that too.

Best recommendation is to set your live account with the settings you used for the demo run, hey, 20%/mth is great. Then continue with your demo on the high lot settings. Once comfortable with that update your live account with the new settings.

No sense rushing things.

Keep us posted and good luck! :)

Great suggestions, thanks!

Yeah, those two consective losses hurt, figuratively of course. Since those two though I've had 20+ straight winners. Figures... right after I change the lots to .1 that would happen too. If I left it for one more day the loss would have been $16.

I believe the gain was about 8% before I changed the lot sizes, which is not a bad deal either. I believe the drawdown was less than 2%.

Still looking for some input on Alpari demo vs live. Anyone? Beuller? Beuller?

Are you using the latest version of FapTurbo? v49?

I understand there are loads of settings available and that you'll need to tweak and monitor it to fully maximise the system. Is this true? Or can you use them out of the box?

Yes. V49 is what I am using.

You can tweak just about anything on this EA.

Vinnie, I think you are doing something wrong. I don't think you are doing yourself any favors with the GMT offset in time.

Someone actually pm'd me some time ago and had a rather nasty word with me because I didn't believe 'contrary to the strong evidence' these systems work. Can't remember who it was, I just deleted the thing.

I guess I can rest my case now.

People never take the time to really learn an EA before they shelf it... Honestly most people don't know what the settings do...sometimes the EA creator has no clue either.

They trade currencies that they really don't know

Just because and EA can be dropped on a time chart for any currency ...doesn't mean you don't do your homework....

know your currency
know your EA
put in the time
or you'll just waste your money
