Firstly I'd like to state that I am not affiliated with Forex Combo in any way.

I'm a difficult person to convince when it comes to the profitability of EAs for sale, I'm a firm believer in the fact that if you developed something that works then you should be trading it live yourself. I treat backtests as a total waste of my time unless they are done on properly compiled tick data via Birt's method, then and only then if the EA passes 4 years of backtesting does it move onto a demo forward test stage. From that point you have to commit and put up some real money.
That said I do understand someone wanting to sell a few copies of an EA/signal service to help build some account equity to trade with, but such a sale should still be based on results from a live account.

The seller of this EA has done 1 of these 3 stages from the proof I have seen, but they are expecting you to put up £200/$300 based on that and the usual in your face site and pretty picture of a box.

At this stage I would normally dismiss the EA as the usual spam BS, however luckily for the seller someone has actually taken the time to open a live account and run it for a prolonged period.

It is a nano account and only $50 was commited, but it appears to be more than the seller commited.
If you were to buy this EA, I'd set your expectations around what this account has made and not the demo nonsense provided by the seller.

From the 3000 or so accounts on myfxbook I have a shortlist of about 7 of which I deem to be real and profitable, that is the reason Birt's version came to my attention and that is the reason for my writing of this post.

So Mr. Seller, do yourself and your reputation a favour, open a live account, put in the price of 2 or 3 copies of the EA and open it up to the world on here, public trades viewable and use the new registration method which updates the account every few mins. I think you have one of the few profitable EAs, and you should sell it as such, rather than hiding behind a demo with hidden open trades and slow updates.

Compare the monthly returns and you will quickly see they are not the same method.

Then if you wish to dig a little deeper look at the account trade by trade and you will also see they are totally different on entries and exits.

Hi, I was wondering if there are any other links to real money live accounts as a reference?

Also, I was reading ack in the forum that the developer had a real money live account set up but cannot see it. The link back then does not work anymore.

Any info?

Thanks

I think you mean Birt's account?

It is a penny account, so his $49.80 initial deposit shows as $4980

I don't think so. A penny account reffers to the trading lot size (micro account), not the deposits.

I stated 'it is a penny account' hence I know, otherwise I'd have said 'I think it is a penny account'
Just ask Birt rather than speculating on what I already know to be the truth.
