the market has been really emotional, as of late. with all the news of the EU literally collapsing right now, we're going back to volatility seen in 2007-8, a time when FGB has NOT been profitable (backtest). it's been a good run, but without a new setting release from the developer, i'm demoting this bot to 1% risk.

On my FxPro demo account 5/7 positions still open... The first two was closed at -21,9 and +41,3.
Now I have decided to close them manually (profit).

On my Alpari real same bad result like all.

You're completely right here.

We can't complain about a Bot where the Live results reflect the backtest. The backtest shows success in the long run with periods of losses. Isn't that Successful Trading?

I understand, it is frustrating while watching the bot make inaccurate position entries or watching good trades turn into bad but isn't the whole point of running an automated system is that you can set it up on VPS and go enjoy life?

If you want consistent gains, learn to day trade otherwise let the bot make the gains over longer periods of time. Lower the leverage to decrease volatility and enjoy a BOT that can make gains over the long haul. Good luck FGB users. Enjoy the Weekend

If anyone is running Both Basic and Signal Service, please share the results between the two systems. We're all interested

I have the signal service and these are the results for the last week:

-51 pips
+40 pips
-5 pips
+32 pips
-30
-31

Total: - 45 pips for the week; (-233 from the EA listed here on the site)

Not a good week but remember for the last month the bot has returned 162 pips which is still better than most; the bot returned 193 the 30 days prior to that. That's 2136 pips in a year which is pretty awesome. I have another bot that I have that I take manual trades OPPOSITE of what the robot does...that robot has lost 450 pips in the last two days...so I think the growth bot is certainly a cut above the rest.

One thing I might suggest is turning the bot off on Friday mornings...the reason is there is alot of whipsaw on friday's that can cause losses because HEDGE FUND MANAGERS manipulate these markets going into the weekend for psychological reasons....I know because I have worked with some of the brightest managers for years.

if this bot traded traditional signals and patterns -- the news, even -- i would agree.

however, FGB is essentially just another breakout-trading bot. so as long as the smart money manhandles the markets like they used to, with couple-hundred pip moves, FGB would be happy with the thrashing volatility. if smart money keeps up the stoploss hunting like today, then we may be out of luck.

Hi Guys, it's been a tough week with the instability in the markets. Like others said you jsut need to hang in there, this robot is built for the long haul. We are working on concepts to improve and prevent lost trades when there are pips to be closed out. But this takes time of course.

Eugene,

How about a trader watching the trade copier who would of seen that bounce late of friday coming. Pull up a H1 and look where price was on 18/04 , 12/05 and 16/17th. Its a decent demand zone, it then closed out trades in between forming a bearish gartley to drop back down.

Im not a great manual trader at all and dont have time or energy to do it but when you say there is meant to be a trader watching the copier then I expect the obvious things like that to be sorted out, at the same time I understand we do not want it being interfered with too much.

If anyone is really watching it get them to learn a bit about spotting strong supply and demand levels and maybe some fibonacci/harmonics, if there is confluence with harmonics and supply/demand then occasionaly they could intervene.

Im going back to running bot myself on thinkforex until I can see an advantage to using trade copier.

All the best.

simple bro, just add basic trailing mechanism based on pips not like power edition that using complicated percentages. just add trailing trigger (pips unit) and trailing pips for basic edition. let say, stop loss will be updated each time stepping some pips (trailing pips) after pips is reaching the trailing trigger.

i think we all only need that every trades closed in profit. we don't need a single closed trades with a lot of profit pips just to cover all losing trades/pips. CMIIW

Please dont use caps.
1st i try it and its working fine.
2nd meaning of upgrading is not that you just run the setup, you have to uninstall the bot with the mt4 client and then install.
