Seems FX Mower has a strategy which 'works' (for now) - it is making profits. However, I don't like the increasing lot size used to recover a losing trade. Consider the following when analysing its trading history:

A loss of 10% requires a gain of 11.11% to recover;
A loss of 20% requires a gain of 25% to recover;
A loss of 30% requires a gain of 42.86% to recover;
A loss of 40% requires a gain of 66.67% to recover;
A loss of 50% requires a gain of 100% to recover.

Lot sizes follow a compounding increase in size until recovery, as recent trading activity has shown:
- 1st trade = 0.19 Lots
- 2nd trade = 0.43 Lots (226% increase in trade volume)
- 3rd trade = 1.63 Lots (380% increase from 0.43 Lots, or 858% from 0.19 Lots)
- 4th trade = ??? Lots (????% increase in trade volume)
- 5th trade = etc. etc.

I no longer use FX Mower because of this. There will come a time when a succession of losing trades will blow the account - guaranteed. Not 'if', but 'when'.

That´s it: After a bigger losing there is a little little little change to recover the balance.

Hello! Glad to inform you, that your assumption is wrong. FXMower has only 3 orders in chain - two trades after first lost. So you saw biggest amount of trades in the market - 3. We restrict possible drawdown, so you will never see 4 or 5 orders.

Hello. This was done in relation to some toxic persons and those who made some advertisement or disinformation. You might not even saw their messages because we report such comments and myfxbook decided to deleted them.

I ran a backtest with this EA and the performance is:

IT BLOWS UP the account for sure. AND I noticed the backtest results have nothing to do with the performance on this page.
It seems that the myfxbook results are manipulated.

I would like to see a screenshot of the settings used by the vendor for this myfxbook account. I will do a 99.9% real tick backtest and put the results next to this myfxbook account.

Be careful, any martingle in the end will kill your account. I already live test this EA. If it hits a SL, it will open another bigger trade against the previous trade.Very dangerous

I'm actually shocked that people are still looking at this EA. Has anybody not noticed that the expectancy is -.3 pips?

Expectancy: -0.3 Pips / $33.23

Maybe pps still look at this EA because some are still having success with it? At least vendor seems to be... 😎

Can I get this EA to test on the demo at least one month? After that if I am satisfied I will buy it.

This is an EA you WANT TO pass on. It will give you a terrible headache at one point. The results here are 100% manipulated. Seller is UNable to share his settings. He knows that a backtest with his live settings will confirm that the results here are manipulated.

Hello! There are many possible reasons why you got bad results of backtesting. You need to contact our support department and they will help you. The main thing that will help you to understand who is wrong - it's comparing for same period your backtest and our live results. If at backtest you have some lose that wasn't at our live account, it means your backtests is wrong, because there are nothing more right than live trading at real time quotes. If you will check your '99%' quotes, you will see how many gaps it has.

I have attached screenshot of our account with setting of EA. Hope it will help you.

Hello! I think you need to read our earlier posts. FXMower increase lot size only two times (first trade, then increased and then last increased trade), then it fix the loss and start from initial lot size (we had no such situation at our live trading for all the time). EA can't lost more money than you specified in settings. It's easy and it protect your account from 'will kill your account' 😄

It is difficult for me to compare my results with the vendors as orders do not match exactly. I can only assume this is due to difference of broker and trading conditions: my account is IC Markets, official FX Mower account is FX Open.

You compare. I am satisfied with performance though.

From your screen shot, i saw on your account, the last basket at the bottom of your page, it has been martingaled 5 times, ie. 6 trades. But what FXMOWER said is that the EA will only martingale 2 times (3 trades).

Could you please show us a screen shot of your statistics page? You can black out info that you are not comfortable showing publicly.

Thanks

i posted a comment earlier on about Matt's martingale. Strangely, my comment was being deleted. Has FXMower deleted my comment?

I honestly don't know what happened here. Either this was a conflict with another EA, or I used a script to Close All trades and it may have triggered FX Mower to open trades multiple times, as I may have attempted the script a few times (sometimes Close All script does not execute and close all trades on my account immediately, and the delay incites me to re-execute it). Or did the news event impact the EA?

There was no martingale 5 times here: you can see the trade sizes are all the same. Certainly some freak occurrence as you can also see the duration of the trades are unusually short too:
