If have 500k Acc, a martingale system should be invincible.
Obviously did not do calculation on how many pair and lot size it can handle.

Hi DoubleTrap,

You are quite right, obviously I didn't calculate well how many pairs to trade. Could you please help me to understand what I did worng and how to do the right calculations? I've been unable so far to make Marty invincible, even with a 500k account.

Your help is very welcomed, thanks in advance,
Miguel

PS: Please PM if you find it appropiate.

Hi Fulltime247,

Miguel

Probably your approach is wrong. Historical ranges are pretty worthless nowadays. We see more volatility and long periods without retracement. As long as a marty isn't full adaptive to changing market situations there is little to zero chance to survive.

Martingale is simple, with calculation of mathematic.

You need to use Excel, to formula out on each level of gird size and take profit grid.
Normally broker allow to max 50 Lot. So using x2 power will have open up 13 level of trade.
As the formula i use is base on 1 pip = 0.01 USD. So if you play on mini account have to x 10.

For invincible purpose you need to know how much of max draw down each pair can be.
As I play most EurUsd only, the max storm pip is around 600 pip and hopefully will reverse.
13 Level will open up 12 layer of grid :-
600/12 = 50. My gird size will be 50 pip if I want to cover 600 pip of target.
To have a take profit I need 50 or more. I will chose 52 pip take profit. As it not always perfect your gird size will open at 50 pip of layer.

So after decide the grid size and take profit, i will put this 2 parameter in my formulated excel.
And I assumed the draw down up to 650 pip. So at 650 pip draw down, my floating will be -8184.50 on micro account.
This is only float, not include margin deposit and the low leverage problem. So it need to x 3 to get your save initial deposit.
8184.5 x 3 = 24553.50.
Initial Deposit require to play on mini account with = 245k.
Your recovery system will work when draw down reduce to 548 pip after touching the 13 level grid at 600 pip draw down.
Touching the recovery point at 548 pip drag down will earn profit of 1703.20 in mini account.

500k Account probably could play 2 pairs with started lot 0.01 using x2 power using my desire of 600 pip range coverage.
And adding some other very safe play martingale EA as extra helping assistance trade.

This is my profile of The Ultimate Interest.
Using different power booster of martingale, and also 3 more EA that able past through the back test on year 2009.
So you actually earn more when have big draw down and recovery and less gain on range market.
Over all, you are invincible with such big account, but will MC when the storm pip is 700 and continue no reverse.

The calculation is bit flawed as it assumes there's no retracement within the 600 pips movement, which is really rare.
