Today my 2nd broker was worse than the first.
I had two sets of loosing trades on MDP 1.2. Furthermore there was a server downtime of about 20 minutes when the 2nd wave was open. They at first closed them at the next price after the server came up at around 1.2983 EURUSD, but when I complained immediately they gave me the price of the S/L that MDP tried to reach when it lost connection. That was about the same S/L-price as at the first broker.
I was reimbursed within 4 hours, that's what I call good customer-service!😱 With ILQ I waited once for 10 days!
So I had only a 4 pips loss for 4 trades instead of 16 each.
Maybe I should have demanded a complete reimbursement, though? 😲

Do you guys have experience with reimbursements of trades? How were they handled and what did you demand?

Please note: I am updating the account manually to Myfxbook after I noticed that MDP has traded. That is because I think the update function would otherwise kick in after each modification/opening/closing which would cost some speed for the Metatrader platform. So sometimes this update might be considerably after the trading.

Résumé for February:

Account missed trading at Non-Farm-Payroll this month and the big gains. Instead I had big slippage problems. Up to 16 full pips!
Account recovered when I removed two other Metatrader platforms from the VPS which were trading other EAs. I am pretty sure, that they had slowed down order-handling of MDP at this account since end of January and this had negative impact on trading results.

Because of large slippage of 7.5 pips with last orders yesterday I decided to stop trading now and move my funds to a different broker. I am in the process of account opening there and will list the account in my profile then.

If anybody is still interested in this (old) broker since they are regulated in the UK and have good customer service (also in German): it is SVSFX (rebates possible from Brokerdeal.de). It is overall a good broker, but there should be better ones for MDP.

Cheers and good luck everybody!

I have withdrawn only 90 % and will continue running this account with smaller lot size for comparison for a while.

Hi, is SVSFX following FIFO rules? I ran MDP on Hotforex, not giving optimum results as welll.

No, being a European broker FIFO is not applicable to SVSFX.

Résumé for March:
Quite a setback in March, but not as bad as on the first account with IBFX. Overall - except for the 16th - markets have turned more quiet and there weren't the right spikes for MDP to succeed. Even with smaller lot-sizes now (1/10th) slippager is high sometimes. At the moment I will let MDP run further without changes.
Good luck everybody!

NFP-trading on last Friday was rather good and I often experienced positive slippage on my entry-orders this time: Twice 1 full pips plus several orders of around 0.5 pips. But overall negative slippage is still an issue with this account.

I stopped trading MDP on this account as of beginning of this week, because I need the space on my VPS to test other EAs.
Happy trading!
