RTP now has the best setup for currently market behavior. Each year the market has more or less movement if you can remember, different FED's chairman like Bernanke and Yellen.... QE ... OIL PRICE ... as a trader we have to learn the market then fine tune the system.

In my opinion, the backtest more than a year or two cannot justify the performance of the EA.

I hope Mr.Price will keep continue update his EA for us when the game has changed.

cheers.😂

He had said he will....why think about changing something that works?!!??!? If we suffer loss after loss then I guess it needs adapting....until then just enjoy the profits.

Hi folks,

There are several things that bother me

1º) Why the oficial acount of revpro, this one, has 3 trades opened right now, while mine and some others closed them yesterday.

2º) It seems it is not posible to backtest the ea at mt4.

3º) Dough Price dont seem very interested in answering questions and supporting people that bought his ea.

I see that the ea is working on these premises: entry point is the high or low, filtered with the 80/20 stocastic oscilator level, following the daily trend (down or high) and did a manual back test of these conditions for the last 5 years. The last year, 2014 was wonderful, but the other 4 were depressing. Obviously, I have done it manually and did not take all my time, but Dough should answer these questions.....and I keep asking them to him, but he does not seem very interested,

To be honest, I wouldn't answer you either. Look at the trading statements....what more proof do you need. The past doesn't tell you how the future will be....there is obviously a risk that any strategy will fail....until it does, enjoy the profits.

I agree, I have to use the MB Trading USA broker now for various reasons with only 50 - 1 margin (EXN Limits account)
You all think RTP will function properly with this broker?

Week 2 results for REV Trader Pro(FXCM and VPS):

- Total of 397 pips profit
- 10 trades/8 winners/2 losers (80% win percentage)

This EA is working exactly as it is designed and configured to do. I just do not get why some people are manually manipulating trades, it is a robot, it is meant to be left alone to do its thing. If you want to manual trade this robot, do not complain about its performance. I can see why Mr. Price is getting short with some of those on the thread, if your not following the configuration guidelines or running it properly, you should keep your comment to yourselves.... IMO

I concur...

No doubts REV is the best system offered to the public at the present time. Of course it will not work the best with all brokers and results will be different. Most important the system overall is profitable.
But I have a few concerns (like other members) which I couldn't find answers in this blog:
1. Activation and account changes are done via Doug's website. What happened if Doug will shut down his website? Will all accounts deactivated or we will stock with activated account?
2. Everybody knows that any system must be periodically adjusted due to market changes. I agree that time to time system needs to be optimized. Doug provides recent settings, but there are no words how he came up with these settings and how and which parameters need optimization. Because back test is extremely slow it’s impossible to do optimization and if Doug did it, it will be very interesting how.

Since I am in the USA, I just set up an account here: https://tinyurl.com/tradeusa (my aff link) to use Rev Trader Pro exclusively. Being in the USA not much choices and at this broker I was able to get 1 to 1,000 leverage which I think will be very helpful with a $1K account.

Best of Luck!

Hi everyone,

New here, and sold on RTP, but have a problem.

I live in British Columbia, Canada where brokers must register with the province. Max margin here is 20:1.

Anyone know how to get around that? I would like to use the 400:1 that Doug uses.

Thanks in advance.

Don't worry about that. Dough is a passionate trader, that means he cannot live without trading...furthermore his account has not reached the level of 1 million yet,so me and you all too, therefore, so I think he will continuously trade....just some thoughts from me for making relax for us. Your questions are interesting!

:)

Happy trading to all!

I hope so, but even if Doug will make $1 Mil doesn’t give me confidence he will maintain his website. I understand nothing if forever, but as of now more important issue if how to do optimization.

If you refer to my account then you are correct. But this is not due to the EA per se, but my MT4 account being offline from a VPS issue.😞

Sounds good to me, however I did not get the 3 GBP/USD trades. So I manually placed one at the top and took 30 pips, better than RTV result ;o) But I don't want to keep doing that and hope RTV will work at TW. Spreads real tight with MT4 ECN account. You go over 1K balance and leverage drops to 1 to 500... Joe Carney at TW offers excellent personal customer service. Emails you back every time. So far I am really impressed with this broker and if you are in USA they accept you. I like them better than MyFxChoice so far.
