Is the EA having a rest due to market been not volatile for Thor II to work?

Hi Alexander. So for this account you are using all 3 cores, max spread is 1.5, max slippage is 1.5, and Aggressive mode is set to false? After that, everything is default?

I tried Thor II in the past and ended up getting a refund, as it wasn't performing very well on the broker I had at the time (the spread was probably too high...usually about 2 pips). However, I currently switched to a new broker, ILQ, and the feed I'm getting has a spread that's usually about .6 to 1 pip. So I'm thinking about repurchasing Thor, as it should work better on ILQ. Has anyone else used Thor on ILQ? How did it perform for you? Thanks. 😎

I've havent purchased thor myself but according to what I've read on the website there should be a listing of recommended brokers I think. Did you get a chance to look at that document when you bought the EA? Maybe you could also try Tradersway or Exness which should have very tight spreads.

From what I remember, all of the recommended brokers were non-US offshore brokers that don't accept US clients. Plus, I don't want to use an offshore brokerage anyway. I have too much money in my account to trust with an offshore brokerage. So I'd rather stick with a US regulated broker. That's why I was hoping to hear from someone else who's already trading Thor2 at ILQ, so I can get an idea of how it does there before I decide to repurchase it or not. But so far I haven't had any luck... 😞

Just got the EA. Haven't set it up on a live account as yet as I havent decided on the best broker/vps package for me. I'm thinking of going with Trader's Way as they offer a VPS which they say is in close proximity to their server so I'm hoping this will reduce latency. Other than that I'm thinking of going with Armanda and a cloud server. Is there anyone who has used a cloud server with this EA and what were you experiences using this server?
Also I heard some wind (on one of these forums somewhere) that there are plans to let Forex Thor II to trade more pairs. Is there any validity to this statement or are these just rumors? I think it may be a good idea seeing the lack of activity in the month of October. Anyway, I guess its better to have an EA make sure trades when market opportunities are good and get sure profits than to risk your account when conditions are not so favourable and then get high drawdowns and the like.

hmm, I can see that a trade was taken by Thor today but it wasnt executed on my account. I have enabled all 3 cores but have not enabled the 'agressive' mode. Just wondering if this is normal or if I should start troubleshooting.

I've got all 3 cores and the first one on aggressive and I wasn't triggered either.

I`v sent 4 e-mails to Andrew about refund. Twice he suggested me to wait another month but when I said I do not want to wait another month when I can not get my money back he stopped responding.

Hello Gardener, refund requests are assigned to me and i process them in the order they arrive. Multiple requests (sent within short period of time or sent to multiple in boxes) delay the process as e-mail conversations are automatically grouped by time and date.

Just to make sure your request didn't get lost, please send me a short message with your order id. E-mail: alexander <at> forexthor.com.

Thank You!

Right now the market is not very volatile. That's why the number of trades is unusual low. However, i am sure after the US selection volatility will come back and we will see more action.

Problem with these EA's is that you need to use 'crappy' i mean unregulated small brokerage firms but who offer tight spreads. Try it on a big brokerage with higher spreads It wont work because it wont cut through the spread to make a profit.

Secondly is that is the creator of these EAs are successful developers and trust there robots. Why don't they put $200,000 k of their own money (or loaned cash or cash under management) and make 10% from it per month. They will never do this and can never show you an account with this simply because they don't in reality trust their own systems.

EA are best used in 'Mixed mode' monitored, switched on and off.

@ albaani: I dont think you can say that this EA works with only crappy brokers cuz if you do your research you will see that there are quite a few good true ECN brokers out there. Also dont think it is necessary to check their account balances for us to evaluate the profitability of this EA. I think the developer has come out in the open and shared a great product with us which will be a winner in the long time. Their support is also brilliant and they are also ready to assist. Also I know it is rather boring waiting for this ea to trade but I will rather wait and make sure trades rather than blow my account when account when conditions are not right. If you dont believe me, then check out other scalping bots which have traded much more frequently in recent times and you will see that they have taken quite a beating.

LOL ... i just viewed the https://forexthor.com/ Alexander Collins sales Pitch. Patronizing historical data and lagging indicators. Me Being a masters Graduate in A.I. my professor foretasted on historical data for large banks. Yes, Level 2 order flow, is not the magic crystal ball .. otherwise all the prop traders at banks would be profitable ..... Also historical data is relevant since, since it's impossible to real 'Forward test' that is impossible ..

@richbugger i'm not advocating trading on other EA's at all .. i'm advocating not trading EA's fulll stop ....
' I think the developer has come out in the open and shared a great product with us which will be a winner in the long time'
I disagree with this totally. In a year or two you can make this statement but in FX Promises amount to SCAMS and you should know this ...

I completely agree. Thor is one of the safest EA. For me such concept of trading is totally suitable. And yes, you shouldn't value this EA by in-between results. You should rate after for example a year of trading. And according to the posted results, overall results will be great. That's my IMO.
