Hey guys
Are you all still here?? Been remarkably quiet for a while :)

I held on to GBP/USD and have managed to extricate myself from the pair just off today's low. The EA has worked well, to be fair, but I just wasn't comfortable after the palpitations of EUR/USD and a 55% DD lasting several days. So, took early profits from the EA's trades and replaced with some timely manual ones, added couple of hedges, switched off TEA on the pair and waited for the drop, which obligingly came after the BoE announcement today.

Had I not intervened, both the EUR/USD and GBP/USD pairs would still be carrying >40% DD, albeit that some decent profit would have been banked. I reckon manual intervention has produced probably £300 less than the EA may have delivered, but with much earlier exits and decidedly less stress. As with paulrozza, spratrbo and others, I guess I've learned that RL3 on the major pairs really is asking for stress when they start trending ;)

Now that the account is running at a negligible value of open trades, have switched the EA back on at RL1, but across 6 pairs as this is still within Dustin's guidleines, and intend to leave it to manage on its own, so we'll see how it behaves now...

Things with Tom's normalized and now everything is working fine, looks like everyone's out on a holiday, maybe all people went to Malibu or something :)

still here :)

I'm not using G/U, E/J (wild ones when their periods come) & A/NZ (wide spread).

Seems a right number at RL6 for me. :) All the best!

When I modified my RL setting the other day I noticed a new setting... 'liquidation' Does anyone know what this does? I am thinking it might be a nice way to allow the EA to shut you out of a pair completely. Anyone?

I ran this on a demo account since Nov. Good results, except when the market picks a direction and sustains that direction for some time. It seems once the EA makes a bet in one direction, it will continue to increase the bet, hoping for eventual reversal; denying itself the opportunity to recognize a change in the market. Since mid Jan, I have tried closing all trades once reaching a 2% gain and restarting the next day. So far, this has worked quite well. Hey, I'm just sayin.

Doh, two 600 pippers closed out - EUR/JPY - wiped out 1/2 of the profit since day 1 - and still holding 20% drawdown

Hi All

Well looks like I'm finishing Feb with a 0.43% gain! Could be worse, at least I have not made a loss. Didn't make enough to pay the monthly bill, but will see what happens at the end of March before I decide anything.

Is anyone else trading with an account with over 100K. If so what pairs and RL are you using. I'm currently running TEA on the Euro, Pound and the CAD all on RL 2.

The reason I ask is on the website it states 'Please contact support for pairs/RL for accounts over 100K'... now I did that and the reply I got is to add the EUR/GBP at RL 2 to my mix. In other words... the same pairs and RL as thier original MyFxBook account.

Thoughts?

Personally.... I' happy with 3 pairs and a total RL of 6. Was just curious.
