OOPS I had a couple of pairs with too high leverage! I was able to fix it before any trades were opened except for one, which I closed with a small loss.

After nearly a month of nothing but losing trades, FSaF appears to finally be working its way back to break-even! Almost every losing trade it placed could have been closed at a profit, but in this experiment I decided never to interfere and see if it can profit using all 15 pairs on a single account. Maybe things will go better from here on.

On another note, I am working on a new version that has a tighter trailing stop and captures profits more often but the results are not as astonishing as I had hoped. Version 1.09 is very effective and (future) version 1.10 is just as effective but in a different way. So most likely what I will do is add a parameter that allows you to choose which mode it will operate in. Then when I optimize for all pairs I will include the new parameter in the optimization so that the method is chosen on a pair-by-pair basis.

On yet another note, with the exception of hot-fixes, future versions will most likely be hosted on a server and the EA that runs on MT4 will simply fetch trade information from the server. Trade signals will be sold on a monthly subscription basis and the cost will be according to how you receive the signals (web site, email, MT4).

Well, the month is over and ended in a loss. However, I obtained a good deal of data from the experiment, such as which pairs performed well and which didn't. Here is a list of the good performing pairs...

gbpusd $669.00
gbpchf $496.77
audjpy $333.60
eurcad $224.79
eurusd $204.00
nzdusd $ 97.00
usdjpy $ 13.19

I think I will create another account with just these pairs and see how they do without the losing pairs. When I get that done I will post the link here.

On another note, it just occurred to me that my initial deposit on this account was too small. I should have started with $45000 ($3000 for each pair) and set my scaleDivisor to 45000. That just means I am now trading at a risk level that is higher than my own recommendations. The new account will start with $21000 so that I am trading at the recommended risk level.

what strategy are you using?

Basically it's a moving average crossover that uses support/resistance to decide if it is safe to place a trade. Also it places pending orders that can be deleted if the price reverses before the entry price is reached. There's more but that's the general idea. You can get the support/resistance indicator from here...

My system is also based on moving average cross over. Still finding ways and means to improve it.

Ok I started a new forward test on December 1, using only the pairs from this portfolio that ended in profit for the month of November...

We'll see how that goes. It is running on 7 pairs, which is 4 more than the maximum recommended amount. The leverage has been adjusted so that each pair has $3000 of equity to trade with, which is the minimum recommended for this robot.

There's a new version of Forex Set and Forget coming out soon. I have put the new version on all charts that apply...

audjpy
audusd
cadjpy
eurgbp
eurjpy
eurusd
gbpusd
usdchf
usdjpy

The remaining 6 pairs have not been tampered with. I had to close a trading round on gbpusd with a 5 pip loss in order to switch to the new version. Other than that, nothing going on.
