my keyboard is messed up, it outputs multiple keystrokes, sheesh, i ama alaways having hardware problems.

oh well.

anyways, i was ssitting around thinking about a coding gig that i had yearss back..

i wass working for this small computer hardware store, i waas building an ecommerce package for em.

one day, this old fellow apaproached me, it seemed thata he wanted to pick my mind a bit.

the old boy was a hardware/softwarae consultaanat, of sorts.

so he tells me that he is going to present me with a problem and that he wants to see how i would go about solving the problem.

so he describes tthe problem to me and i thought about it tfor about a few seconds and i turned to my computer keyboard and clickety clickety clickety and i turned back to him and i told him thatt thte problem has been solved.

he shook his head at me and told me thata that is not how he and his company solves problems.

it isnt?


no, it isnt, he said.

first, we will want to form a committee and we will want to sit down and discuss the problem.

then, we will want to draw up some powerpoint presentataions and an excel chart or whatever.

then, we will want to bring the client into the mix and we will explain to tthe client that it will require 4-6 weeks to properly solve the problem.

also, he told me, we will want to implement some sort of planned failure into the solution, in order that we can guarantee some future income for us.

needless to say, i would rather go out and beat my head againsts a tree rather than work with this man.

what a luzr.
