Attaching MyFXBook EA to Charts with an existing EA

I did a search of the forum before asking this question, but can't find the question being raised before, so you will have to excuse me if I should no better!

The instructions on this website explain that you should download and copy the MyFXBook files to the appropriate folders in your running copy of MetaTrader, and then attach the EA to the charts that you wish to report on and publish on the MyFXBook website. However the instructions make it very clear that you can only attach, in MetaTrader4, one EA at a time, which means that the EA that I have already attached to those charts would cease to run? Have I understood this correctly?

If so, how do you report to MyFXBook account, MetaTrader4 charts which have an EA running on them?

I'm sorry to say, but you've misunderstood something.

What the myfxbook EA does, is uploading the stats for the current account, not the individual chart...

Make a new chart, attach the EA, and put in the generated accountnumber for your account in the 'Settings'-section of myfxbook and your password for myfxbook and you're good to go. smiley

Cheers

Soeren,

I understood what the myfxbook EA does, but not how to implement it. I thought it might have to be attached to the chart, or charts, of the currency pairs that you were trading in the account, hence my confusion then about only having one EA attached to that chart at anyone time.

Anyway thanks for your response and I got it working last night.

Regards,

Ian

hi ianking,

If you want to publish your mt4 account stats to myfxbook:

You need to copy and paste myfxbook publishing EA into your metatrader expert advisor folder.
Run your metatrader.
Open a new chart - any currency pair and any time frame will do fine.
Then attach myfxbook EA in the new chart.
Configure myfxbook EA properly.
Lastly, your entire account stats will be shown here.

So you can have many EA running in 1 metatrader, but only one EA per chart(this is why you need to open a new chart to place myfxbook EA).

Hope you are clear.

Regards,
SIM
