Discusión Forex Growth Bot

I received this email from FGB (March 26, 2012): 'Meta quotes released an update for MetaTrader for Build 418. Please note, at this time Forex Growth Bot will not work with this build'. I don't know when this issue will be resolved and I don't know this problem can be solved or not. They did not explain it in their email.

They resolved the problem about metatrader, FGB latest version is out 1.8 that can works with MT4 build 419. I received this email from FGB (April 13, 2012): 'we made some improvements to Forex Growth Bot to fix a few issues. This update will resolve some lot size issues and some trade closing issues.' About can work with MT4 419 is true, but I still don't know about 'resolve some lot size issues and some trade closing issues'.

I had three days using FGB v1.8 with disappointing results, such as the backtest results that show v1.8 is not enough profitable. FGB V1.8 seems make an early entry but has a very tight SL, only a few pips, so is often reach SL although should have the potential profit. Unlike the previous version, V1.8 depends on the broker. I use two brokers, when FGB opened a position on one broker, at the same time FGB not open positions in the other broker. When I use V1.6, FGB entry at the same time at my two brokers. Now I try FGB v1.8 using the TF H1 --- just try without any reason.

I think the more profitable is the previous version, mine is V1.6, because I can change default setting like TP and the maximum trades for optimize performance. For example with 250 USD balance, TP 0.2 and maximum allowed trades set only 1, I can use 0.1 lot for four months and never touched margin call. The problem FGB pervious version is not makes consisten profit, sometimes makes big profit but at other times also produces the large loss, sometimes entry at profit but exit when prices in loss positions, so the balance has not increased significantly.

Until now for me the older version is better than this latest version. With the old version I can freely change default setting dan running more than one TF, even use FGB at TF M5, TF M15 and TF H1 at the same time and have no problem with my all brokers.

Maybe my opinion about V1.8 is wrong because I still have not really know about the characteristics of this version. I do not know V1.8 is ok or not, I think every EA always had a problem so we must find the right setting, the appropriate broker, sensitivity to spread, and so on. I have never found the EA produces a consistent profit without change parameter settings --- often cause frustration.

I am currently using v1.6 and v1.8 to compare the results so can decide which version is better. Perhaps anyone has experience and better knowledge about this FGB last version so can share in this forum.

FGB V1.8 for me still not solve 'enty-exit' problem. With default setting, this version still too late to open and close position. Or perhaps there is someone who try this version and get profitable results? I decided to remove this EA from my MT4 account, until they find the right way to solve this problem.

I don't no. my robots it is carefulll and find way buy best orders. When i buy growth bot i thinking better results. Results was found in Forex growth site.
