Wrong! The market is the one BEHAVING, NOT a PROGRAMMED computer software. Backtests have no relation with the future. They cannot predict anything and that is a fact.

Based on the 10 years of backtest all of us have purchased this bot., dont tell me now that you are the exemption.
It is enough reasonable to think that in 10 years, the market has done everything that a market can do; and if it isn't enough with a backtest of 10 years of historic data to convince to someone for purchasing a forex robot, please, tell me how long should be a backtest for convincing to somebody that a bot is good.

With the default settings, the worst backtests was at years 2003 and 2005
In the year 2007 3/4 of the year had losses but in the last 1/4 of the year the bot gained 7.5 % .....

Thanks. A curious fact is that if we draw a trend line of the FGB's profit, we notice a break below it... As some will say, we should see a restest then a straight down :-) I really hope the forex theory will not apply.

Hye Steve Boardman,

Can we buy spare key from others (which is not being used yet) ?

Thanks

No idea, it's not my EA. Send an email to support on their home page. In theory though as you can change the license once you use it there is no reason why you can't buy an existing licence and switch the account.

I decided to check out my backtest and FGB shows a small loss over an entire two year period ( 1999-2000 ). Not sure if most people would tolerate an entire two years of no growth.

Be interesting to see if other people saw this same bad period in their backtests.

If you look at the behaviour of the EurUsd recently it has been appalling, my guess is it's down to too much government interference. If it carries on in this manner and the state of the Euro zone is possibly an indication that it will then FGB will continue to lose in my opinion.

I am seriously considering my position on this EA at the moment.

It all depends when traders started with FGB..

starting end of 2010 1000% not bad.., you'll be sitting through this..
starting july 2011 , 10-20% maybe..., ok lets see what happens, maybe.
starting Jan 2012 , big minus...., yike my capital will be gone soon!!!

Perhaps a focus on smaller gains, and consistency, will avoid the threat of manual intervention: Expert Advisor - OFF and loss..?
