Yes, and one thing does not make it more ideal than another or not. It depends a lot on the trader's experiences with that broker. That is, I have read of very good brokers in which certain merchants had terrible experiences, and not because we are going to cross the corridor. However, there are certain features that a good broker must meet and are very important when choosing our agent.

Must be legal in your country (regulated)
Offers various types of trading modes
Good withdrawal
Enough assets for investment.
Clear on the information (bonds, conditions, modes of payment and withdrawal)
They also give advice, provide graphics and tools

I agree. The Australian regulator ASIC has been doing a pretty good job in the past few years, they’re keeping the local brokers on a tight leash. (https://www.forexnewslab.com/tag/asic/)
