Obviously, the trading results vary drastically from one broker to the next based on the discussion here. How can this happen?

Thanks for pointing that out, I hadn't noticed it. I'll consider it if 3 months after the start of the test it still looks as it does now.

It appears to be caused by the fact that it uses the Fractals indicator. Read more details in the comments at https://eareview.net/live-forward-test/fast-forex-millions

There is plenty backtest on Birt's website for this EA.

yes, but the documentation and the FFM team is clear:
run the back test on YOUR account, not on somebody else results.
each account will have different results and each account must be optimised individually.

the birt's site didn't list the result of different filterdepth values and using different brokers.

The problem is the history data you use comes from Metaquotes or Dukascopy, not from your own broker.

did you change the filterdepth option?
do some backtests using the optimization option and select some ranges of values for the filterdepth
try from 400 to 2400 with 100 increment. then refine around the strong values with an increment of 25.
you can also change the other parameters for sure.

for me the last 2 days were the most profitable to date.

i wrote a mail to william

Dear William,

I am user of MDP and FFM. I bought both ea. And both are top ea of the world.
Both ea are optimized for Hotforex. But you know that now MDP does not work in HotForex because
MDP is consistent winner and Hotforex does not allow all time winner ea. Hotforex is cheating broker.
Hotforex does not like to allow any ea coming from William factory. Because Hotforex knows that
all ea of william are too good.
Hotforex already knows about MDP and after few months of launch of MDP, Hoforex increased
his SL/TP limit to stop MDP.
And now Hotforex does not like FFM. He started Stop Loss Hunting. I used FFM latest version
on Hotforex with Default settings and with dual mode true. In both case its consistently losing only
in Hotforex. Now Hotforex is not a genuine forex broker.
So i request you William that please optimize FFM for any other broker, which should be
the best for FFM. I suggest you EXNESS, IBFX AUS. Its a genuine brokers. Now i stopped FFM in Hotforex and i will
never use any EA in Hotforex.
I want to give you one more suggestion that please add stealth mode in FFM for stop loss and
target profit so that the broker can not able to know real stop loss and target profit. But dont forget
to add emergency stop loss also in case of mt4 crash.

I am getting consistent losses only. So please do something. I trust you. Please do something.
I will not take any refund from you because i trust you and i know that you also know about Hotforex and
you will do something.

well... has you can see in myfxbook, FFM doesn't works well on a lot of broker. this EA is not (less) sensitive to the speed of the broker, the slippage, the SL mininmum etc...
but apparently sensitive to something else... because some accounts open a buy while another open a sell near at the same time... its like the trend is not identified the same way.... strange.

and stop thinking that all the brokers try to hit your SL.
you can validate the price by comparing with another broker and fill a complain if there is differences. but you'll not see this.
but its hard for a broker to make the price moving in the direction of a stop loss... a spike could occurs (which is where you can complain) but not a long full trend.
This is a typical price movement. its not because FFM go in the wrong direction that its the broker fault...

and like the documentation and the FFM team says:
optimise the EA for your account.
I repeat this again again and again. but the message is clear: optimise it because nobody else can do it for you!
and you'll see that the back tests reflect your closed trades, so you can see the difference quickly.

but you are right to ask for a better EA which is more stable among different account and brokers. its an unpredictable EA, sure on a long term could provide positive results, but more stability is welcome.

well... you are positive.
so FFM works for you.

search in myfxbook and you'll see how many account are positive...
I think you do not have to change anything because you finally wins or just disable the usdcad pair.

I've started to get some good trades. I had to play around with my filter depth a bit, and I also Have set reverse exit to false. After reviewing the trades that win, I found that if that more wiggle room was given then they could have turned out to be much larger winners. After the trade is well into profit I also adjust the target price to something realistic. Netted 200 pips over the last two trading days. See if it continues.

Results have been average lately. Maybe you restarted the server at the wrong time, or there was a stiff breeze in the data center. 😄

@allplayfawdray
How is going now your FFM?
I can't reach 3% monthly after 3 months!
With this tempo and deposit of $1000 I will need 9 months to return money which I spent on FFM.
A am trading manually every day 10 minutes and I get much much better results then this EA.
This is far away of promised 20%.
Also on member page I can't download latest version 2.5, only 2.1 is available. Does anyone else have the same problem?

I have been getting reasonable results with this bot until the last week when things have gone a bit pear shaped largely due to the FOMC statement and I had a couple of big losers. I have been getting many of Birts trades although not identical entries.

I think the decline in results especially with the EURUSD is due to the same issue that so many ea's have been having difficulties with, namely that the market has been in a range. Time and time again I have seen ffm have gains in the 30 to 40 pip range then give it all back again for a tiny profit or a loss. I have done some optimisation with the kTP parameter to lower the tp target significantly and I got far better back test results. Incidentally my backtest results with tick data for default settings on the eurusd were much worse than the actual results for the 4 months of this year! Lets see how the new settings go!! When the market starts to trend again, it will be back to default. I still have faith in this bot.
