I was talking to a friend and he mentioned that it could also possibly be that the iVolume picks up all old ticks that the Market Watch queue might dump in favour of a better refresh. e.g. 10 ticks come within a span of 0.1 seconds and the Market Watch chooses the last one to present, while iVolume logs all 10 of them.

Hi Raiden,
Sorry for the late reply. I think all the scenarios you mention are entirely possible. I would be lying if I said I understood all the nuances of how the platform connects to a broker.
This is why I am not too stressed about no......

Steve,
If you are interested, I have attached a monitor indicator that I wrote. It basically counts the incoming ticks and then compares the number of counted ticks with the volume of the tick(which is nothing more than the number of ticks sent out by the broker). The indicater converts this to a score out of 100(ie %). Just place the indicator on a 5M chart.
My VPS typically runs at about 95% on average which means that I lose about 5% of my ticks. My home computer runs at closer to 70%
As you indicated, this would be currency specific but used on a busy currency will give you a good idea ......

Anyone know a clever way to generate a message when an order closes by SL In Programming Apr 12 at 15:19
Steve,
You could store the trades in 2 arrays, one for 'previous tick' trades and one for current trades. This will tell you that your order has just closed.
You could then examine the closed trade and compare the closeprice with your stoploss. If the closeprice is equal to, or worse than your stoploss then it can be assumed that the trade was closed by your stoploss.
I reckon this method might not be totally infallible but I would say it should be 99% accurate.

Hi there,
According to your screenshot, the trade was closed after 15 minutes by market order. The TP was never executed else it would be green like the others. Looking at price action over the period, your TP would not have been reached until the next morning.
I would suggest looking through the Journal Tab on your MT4 platform. This will tell you whether the trade closure was an instruction sent from your terminal. The instruction to close had to come from somewhere. If it didn't come from your terminal then you would have to ask the broker why they closed the trade. Are there any comm......

Your Risk of Ruin tells a different tale. Your 80% is undisputed, however, this has come at the expense of massive risk......I am not sure that this is how the smart people do it...........[roll]

zzzero,
I have had a look at the code and it is solid. I often find on these forums that you will get people sitting on the sidelines throwing stones at people that lift a finger to help others.....yet they do nothing to contribute. I haven't seen a constructive script or EA from you that does the same job any better, so what exactly is your problem with this code??
Finstudio.......nice work!

This trailing EA from Kenny has nice Options like %Trailing, etc. I'm using the default settings, but be careful if you are using a 4/5 digit Broker choose the correct Pipsvalue 20/200 eg.! Another thing is the SL in this EA. Kenny gave his EA an automatic SL, so if a trade is started and the server crashes, he has a secure SL, which I've se......

Hi guys,
I use Myfxbook mobile on my blackberry to monitor status of my accounts regularly. Thank you for this, very nifty.
Just one request......it is very difficult to read the green and red text against the black background. Is it possible to change this or make it an option so that I can have red, green and black against a white background.
Many thanks
Kenny

Hi guys,
If you are using my trailing stop EA, there is an update available over at donnaforex. It will now enter the stoploss for you.

I am sure it is on purpose. The SNB has a used to have a habit of messing with the CHF and they would target low-liquidity periods. I think it is far easier and cheaper for them to move the market when there is no liquidity.
