I took part in the discussion 'Can forex trading make you rich?' Expressing my supposition. I suggested that an unusual result in trading on Forex will be achieved by a not quite ordinary person.
I believe that for successful trading on modern forex you need to have a new trading system. I attached proof of an unusual trade. (At least I think that my trade is not the usual).
What ideas did I hear in response ?!

My best advice to you all is stop posting on forums and sleep with your charts. The answer to your questions are there. I myself withdrew over 80k November and December left about 10k in the account, blew it and now started new year with 1500 and it is at 5k at the moment. Rich is 80k to a person from a third world country because they could buy about 2 homes for that amount of money. Focus on systems that work, make it your own after you reverse engineer it and then you are good to go. We have no holy grail but if you know how to sprinkle in a little bit of lot variations depending on the formation/probability you have, then your risk and probability of success should also increase.

Just focus on small profits, withdraw and feel the money. That is profit ladies and gents. You will waste years of your life trying to perfect a bias which goes against the entire market dynamic; price action.

  Once you start withdrawing the profits you will get use to it. Trading will then have a purpose to you.

I know a successful trader who average trade time is three minutes, average pips per is just over six pips, and average loss is just under two pips per trade. In the last twelve months is gain to date is 13,132%. I share this to stress that you can be extraordinarily successful trading on small time frames. You have to be good. You better be able to drop a losing trade quickly without thinking or hesitating.

Your issue is that you are posting trying to achieve Forum Guru status instead of working on your account and providing a better life for yourself. All this sense less posting and almost 0 trading should leave one to wonder.... 'What am I doing here'.

I will have you know I have been 'working on my account' since 2008. Myfxbook has me registered from Jan 26 2010: 761 posts divided by 3285 days since registration only works out at approximately 4 posts per day... ONLY. OMG you are abolutely correct! 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲

You are also absolutely correct when you say I should wonder 'what am I doing here?': I keep thinking I will soon discover the answer to how others make consistent money trading. It seems no one truly has the answer who posts in these forums - not even yourself! Else you would: a) not be posting on forums, and/or b) you would share your system that works for you.

Keep in mind:
i) a system that works for you may not work for someone else
ii) if you truly understood your system you would be able to explain it to someone else

PS. I also keep wondering: 'why do I keep trying to trade?' when it seems impossible to actually make consistent income from trading. Everyone else seems to be successful traders. Though just not me. 😞

I really agree with your point number 1) on keen in mind section! I do my live trading only based on Price Action! Yes, I am making decent income in every month! But, I see so many negative comments on PA! Your 1st point explained it so nicely.

I believe almost all trading systems that rely in R/R ratio and winning ratio works. What I see as the biggest problem is greedy. High leveraged accounts and no stop loss is the devil behind margin calls. If you want 50% a year, you don't need to risk that way. But if you want 50% a month... the odds will go against you early or later.

Ok 50% a year won't make you rich... in 10 years...100.000 USD would become 6.000.000.

 

Trading can make you rich.. however, it's a tough slog and initially you will most likely blow up a couple of accounts.. I blew up three before I turned it around. However, once you figure it out.. it is a skill for life which is kinda like alchemy! This journey took me 10 years.. I know people who have made it in 3 years and some still over 15 years are still trying to make it work.
