I never thought its a ripp off..otherwise I wouldn't run several live accounts with Thor on it. And ofcourse I'm able to compare with the mdp logic. That's why I wrote for good reason mdp is the spiritual father... I made a fortune with this revolutionary mdp.. even it seemed the party is over, mdp won big time today again. Thor took trades at the very same moment with less risk, not bad. I realy don't care which software and how it makes me the profit.
Regards all his sales gimmicks, L2 isn't the only one. I didnt get all the 'bonuses' he promised.. Did you?

Oh yeah....here is one other bit of info that would potentially interfere with MDP that I just found out. This may be useful to anyone currently running Thor. Under the 'options-charts' menu in mt4, you can set the bar # history and bar# allowed in chart safely to 20. Thor does not need anything longer than 20 bars back. This info came in response to a question i asked the developer.

Thanks for that info. No wonder I've been having my VPS lock up on me constantly the past few days. I've been going back and forth with CNS trying to figure out the problem to no avail. I just had a complete rebuild of my VPS to see if that would work. Now it looks like it's Thor causing the problem. I'm not sure if I can coninue running it if that is the case. I have too much money in my account and several other EAs trading in order to take the risk. If Alexander can't issue an update quickly resolving this issue I'll have to get a refund...

Well, if their story is true, and they are having to rebuild their site and recover the lost data,etc....that would explain why little bit keep popping up over the last few days.

Oh yeah, one other quick note. I have also informed the developer that Thor has a memory leak. Watch your VPS close and restart the mt4 every now and then to keep it from locking up your VPS.

that's true, its a serious issue that has to be fixed immediately.. it clogged up all my vps already

best send him a message via the support email then. I would like to get it resolved too as it is an annoyance to have to login and restart mt4 every few hours.

I just emailed Alexander letting him know about this problem. In the meantime I've shut down Thor on my account...

Well, in that case, you may as well say all EAs are the same. They all open orders and close orders and use a logic. You are missing the point about the logic. MDP and Thor are both hardcore scalpers. They don't use the same logic to initiate the trades. Spend some time studying the trades taken. Plot them on a 1 minute chart like I have. You will start seeing the differences. I don't say this stuff lightly. I was convinced that it was an MDP rip-off at first. Now that I have seen thousands of trades, and compared it to MDP, and seen live trades, etc....I can say with a great deal of certainty that Thor is using a different logic than MDP.

As far as the claim of using L2 data, that is obviously not how it does it's trades. We all know it would require specialized software to do this and it would only work on some brokers. Plus, it was a description of how it triggers trades....not a detailed description about how the system actually works. All I know is, it doesn't take the same trades based on the same logic as MDP. If it was, it would not be capable of opening trades that the MDP logic cannot trigger.

They are both super scalpers. If you choose not to believe that one or the other works until it has built up a lengthy track record in a live account, then watch my live account. it will be running for at least close to the 90 days of the guarantee period. Beyond that depends on whether or not it is profitable. 😁

What I'm saying is that when there is a big spike both EA's will trade the reversal...can you name one other commercial EA that does that. You can tweak the NO and AC on MDP to get it to trade more and at different times from the default setting. And if it's true what Alexander said about his employee playing a trick on him and putting 'MDP' under the trade comments, then even they know that the EA's are similar. Anyway, it would be William's problem, but he probably figured that he has sold all of the copies of MDP that he's going to sell anyway and besides it's cheaper than Thor...anyway, he's on to his latest and greatest EA.

But that is my point....Thor takes trades that MDP will never, under any circumstances or settings, initiate. The same is true in reverse. MDP initiates trades that Thor will never initiate no matter what settings are used. What you are saying is that because they both trade reversals, they must be the same system. That is the same thing as saying any system that trades a breakout is using the same system, or anything that is trend following uses all the same system. The point is, the way they try to capture profit happens to be catching a false breakout (or temporary breakout), which is a reversal of the price during high volatility. That does not mean there is ONLY one possible way to accomplish this. MDP is based on bolinger bands and volatility. It seems that Thor is based on some combination of price action weighed against volatility. This would explain why they don't take trades at the same points in the market during certain times and do coincide during other times.

   Hi Fughe,

does this Thor EA work well or not. I did not care about the strategy logic is same to MDP or not. if any issue with MDP, MDP should take the responsiblity to claim to Thor. we should focus on this EA with this thread.

and in your real account on myforexbook, did you put Thor EA and MDP ED with same account? do you have the account is only for THor?

My live account is Thor only. I have given a description of the setup in this thread previously.

As far as whether or not it works, it is as I have said....if you have had success with MDP, you might have success with Thor. If you have not had success with MDP, then you probably won't with Thor either.

Regards the creator there is no memory leak...
Even running on only 20 bars this EA crashes all my vps. When I remove the EA the issue doesnt exist anymore. I have truckloads of RAM, so it must some EA bug...
It looks like to get a refund case and its not a big loss for me.
mdp runs now since 6 months w/o issues and has proven its qualities.😎

Uhhhh....yeah, there is a memory leak. If i leave Thor running on my VPS and watch the memory usage, it increases over time. I restart all my mt4s and it doesn't change the memory usage until i restart the ones running Thor. At that point the mem usage drops immensely. Thor has a memory leak. It is probably an issue with the dll. It is fairly easy to overlook something small in a dll.

Just a quick question for anyone running Thor..... did anyone get any trades today? The memory leak locked up my VPS for the second time this week, so I don't know if I missed any trades.

Also, one further note......when I talked to the tech support at CNS, they told me a LOT of people who had recently started using Thor have been having this problem of Their VPS locking up due to a memory leak. The only change has been that they started using Thor. Hopefully they get this issue sorted out quickly.

Alright, this is EFFIN' annoying. 😡😈 I just checked on some different threads and I see that this memory leak issue with Thor has caused me to miss good trades today. I am kind of pissed off about this. I expect this memory leak to be fixed before anything else is done. Thor has caused me to lose money.😂😡

Hello Guys,
while i could not replicate the problem on our virtual machines. (512 mb ram was the weakest machine) I suspect it could be connected with Windows Server 2003.

That we can replicate the problem and fix the issue i would need your help guys. Could please everybody who faced troubles with the VPS send me short information about the OS?

It would help me really a lot.

E-Mail: support [at] forexthor.com

Thank you!
Alexander

This problem is unsolved, vps locks up after some hours, even running Thor on 20 bars only. Its to dangerous to use on Windows Server 2003. Refund.
