Straasha was a good system, but if work well, it need 2 conditions:
1. The account must at least have 2500 dollars;
2. It must run along, not run another EA in one account, because the Straasha MM setting could conflicted with other system.

They can and they do survive. However you need to know how to run a martingale and all martingales are not the same. Some have math that is very logical making recovery much better than others. I trade martingales all the time and never blow my account. But if you do not trade my way with them they are very dangerous like anything else you need to know how to handle them

dollar cost averaging/martingale/carry trades works 100% in theory with unlimited fund in my opinion. ur $100 is an unlimited fund if u marty by $1 trade every 100 pips doing a carry on a long aud/usd position. at some point a single sheer of luck or a technical rebound can bring ur port back to black. but theories doesnt involved emotions. in real life drama, greed persist to be a big factor. patience is next.
