I got 1 sell trade today (core 1) for +4.4 pips. Other than that, it has been a very quiet two weeks. But I think that's more the result of the holiday's effect on the market rather than Thor. By the way, Alexander's programmer has run a number of tests and concluded that there isn't a memory leak with Thor. But I beg to differ...
I have to restart the MT4 platform running Thor about once per day, as it continues to increase my VPS memory usage (about 100 MB RAM every 24 hrs). When I opened my MT4 platforms yesterday they were using about 382 MB RAM. When I checked it a few minutes ago, they are using 470 MB RAM. Once I close and restart the MT4 platform running Thor, it jumps right back down to about 382 MB. So there is definitely a memory leak. Thankfully I have over 1 GB RAM, so it hasn't been freezing my VPS yet. Tell your programmer to keep looking for the problem, Alexander, because he has obviously missed something and this really needs to get fixed... Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. |

Oh yeah, MDP took pretty much the same identical sell trade as Thor today on my other account. So Thor and MDP will definitely interfere with one another (at least some of the time) on the same account. It's best to use separate accounts if you're running both of these EAs...

I have to agree with the problem about the memory leak. When i first open all my mt4 instances, I am usually hovering right about 580mb usage. Previous to using Thor, it stayed that way all the time. Now that i am running Thor on 2 different mt4 instances, if I do not restart it at least once per day, It will lock up my VPS. I got lucky today and was able to get CNS to restart my VPS before I missed today's trades. Wouldn't have been a bad thing to miss the Thor trades, but MDP had a good day today. Thor lost on all accounts. MDP won on all accounts. Anyway....back to the memory leak. When I looked at my VPS window, the memory usage had risen to 891mb(normal usage 580mb). My VPS memory was 786mb (i think)....but I finally decided to upgrade to 1GB today. That should give me more time to restart Thor before it locks up my VPS. I will continue the 90day test run and deal with the memory leak BS. If it is not fixed within that time period, i will get a refund no matter whether it is profitable or not. This memory leak is a MAJOR pain is the A$$. Make losses, but always come out a winner at the end. |

Hello rgmann, please let me know when it is comfortable for you to setup remote connection to your VPS. (alexander at forexthor.com). I will make sure Evgeny get in touch with you to check this for you. crashev 3 Hours ago I wonder why Alexander's account does not have any trades ? Hello crashev, trading was disabled by mistake. @fughe I would like to offer you to setup a remote connection to your VPS. As we could not found any memory leak during testing it is may something provider specific or machine specific. In any case i am sure my programmer can help to fix this. So, just drop me a short E-Mail and let me know when you have time. Here the results from our test:
Pecunia non olet. :) |

Maybe you have a smaller spread than what i do. i generally see 2.1-2.3 pips. It shows that the position was stopped out. Well, for me, Thor took several steps back today, but..MDP covered for it, plus made some extra scratch. Maybe they will cover for each other's losses.

My spread is usually between 1.9 - 2.3 on the broker I'm currently using for Thor. My other broker that I'm using MDP on is between 1.0 - 1.9 most of the time. I also got about 5 pips on that account with MDP today, so it was a pretty good price spike for me... Both brokers have low slippage and fast execution times though (300-600ms), so maybe that was in my favor.
