My Name is Uwe, I'm 50 years old and I'm a Full Time Forex Trader.
Forex trading is no different than any other successful business - it is full of responsibilities, organization, money management, experience, structure and a great amount of will and power.
I began trading in 2004 using techniques created by others in hope that I would never have to work again. I was told that Forex was a place to get rich quick, I soon found that the so called “experts” that I was listening to knew less then I did.
Trading currency is not easy.
I start reading every trading book and trading course I could find.
Trading is 70% psychology, 20% money management, and 10% method.
Today I trade my own method. My goal is to manage my money not lose it. Trading is not being in the market and hoping that I'm right. Trading is waiting for Market Maker to show his hand so I know that I'm right.
Becoming a full-time, independent trader requires you to have a certain personality. You have to be ready to face the solitude - working alone, being alone, eating alone most of the time every single day. It is definitely not as easy as it may sound. Some people find it extremely tough to be on their own for such extended period of time.
To become a full-time trader you need to set your goals, read ,learn , demo trade until your fingers feel numb, secure your finances for at least 6 months ahead and then leap into the real thing. Because, let me tell you something - living off forex is much better then any job out there!
