stephanusR, The stats are not incorrect. You simply do not understand what you are looking at. The performance that you are seeing is a weighted figure that has taken the effect of deposits into account. Furthermore, you are totally missing the point of my system.......I have a drawdown of open trades of 12.2%......however, this drawdown is paid for. That means that if I choose to close the trades now, the balance will be greater than the deposit. However, I am holding onto the trades in accordance with a specific strategy that will resolve itself at some time in the future. Call this an......
1. Greater than 5% per EA or it is wasting my time. This is also a function of risk.....with a low risk EA like Robominer 5% is acceptable. A higher risk scalper(or progressive strategy for example) requires a higher return to be attractive. 2. The EA bashers would like 100 years but I am happy to go live with 1 month forward test + backtest results. 3. See above.....people look at back tests and say....oh that won't happen for real. They miss the point of a backtest. Apart from seeing if the strategy works, it also helps you understand how the EA works. 4. Flexibility to use with 4/5 digi......

So, are we in agreement that potential clients have all the information they need to assess the performance? The way I trade my system will result in typical floating drawdowns of 0% - 25% which I consider to be acceptable. The system does need time to grow the equity and is, regrettably, not a get-rich-quick scheme. I am looking at improving the performance and you may want to look at the other 2 accounts under my name. They are both similar to this profile but with a new broker which will result in better performance. stephanusR, I can appreciate what you are saying......when it co......
PAMM Account In Trading Systems Sep 07 2009 at 12:37
Hi stephanusR, Fair comment, however, I am not sure I agree that keeping my trades private equates to lack of 100% honesty. The purpose of this site(for me anyway) is to showcase the performance and the open trades are not relevant for this purpose. The value of open trades is important to know - yes!.....but not the actual trades. This is 'nice to know' stuff and clients have access to this information through the interface that the broker has provided. Frankly, if some-one is advanced enough to analyse my trades, then they probably don't need me......they can trade for themselves. I......
Profit graph In Suggestion Box Sep 02 2009 at 09:31
Hi there, How about a graph showing actual profit starting at zero. This would be similar to the balance graph, except it would smooth out the effect of deposits and wihdrawals to a certain extent. Also would it be possible to "weigh" the profit % in line with the balance. As an example, I can have a month of 100% profit on a $1000 account but if I were to add $100 000 the next day, my performance would drop to 1%, which is not really representative. This would be of particular interest to money managers because, at the moment, each time funds are added by new clients, the resu......
Robominer has a 100% win rate due to its logic...... However, these numbers need explaining. The 472% is based on a $300 account and by my calculations this account is margined out right now. The only thing keeping it alive is the $80 000 equity.......and I don't see no $80 000 open trade???? So guys.......what gives?
Gain per month In Suggestion Box Aug 28 2009 at 08:28
I think Myfxbook should come up with its own rating system, based on what people look at......lets look at what people look for :- 1. What % return is this system doing?......a projected annual % is good as it allows people to compare with their local APR rates. 2. How long has it been running? a system running for 6 months carries more weight than 1 running for a week. 3. What has its drawdown been like? So a simple formula would be something like 'projected annual % * running time / drawdown' Maybe oversimplified but I think it could work.
Commissions In Suggestion Box Aug 28 2009 at 08:13
Actually, there are several brokers that take commission......PFGBest, FxCbs, JadeFX, FxOpen(ECN), to name a few. Not sure what the value of showing commission separately would be because it is already factored into the bottom line.

Actually, I am not forcing anyone to take part, or listen to anything I have to say. The results are there for people to see and decide for themselves(the purpose of this site, or have I missed something?) The last 3 months have hardly been a walk in the park as far as scalping goes......I look forward to the return of some normal market action.

Hi guys, My name is Kenny and to myfxbook, congrats on a very nicely presented site. I hope that this is not considered as spam, but I assume that the point of this site is to match traders with potential clients. Accordingly. I thought I would set the ball rolling for people that may be looking to invest..... I have set up a PAMM account with Forex.com so that people may invest with complete peace of mind. For those that are not familiiar with the PAMM system, it stand for Percentage Allocation Management Module. I control and trade a master account at Forex.com and when people in......
