Would you like to join free thoughts sharing FX trading room? In Experienced Traders Jun 09 2010 at 15:20
Hi,
Recently I felt need to do more than just post a blog. I think this may be of invaluable use to share thoughts live with other traders [not exact calls, but rather sentiment and general trading plan].
Firstly vocalizing of your own plan to others may make it for you easier to understand it and follow.
Secondly small trading chatroom would be great place to share and discuss ideas
Thirdly other traders may inspire some new thoughts on market.
I personally trade London session and news announcements, but everyone is welcome. If it happened that group is too big, we may split de......

Well, what would you call martingale here...
I mean doubling positions for times in a row everytime looser appeare is quite clear.
What if someone happend to put bigger trade as his estimation of chances rised in second trade?
What with softer form of martingale, where one put 1.2 size of loosing trade?
what if you open one position with big SL in a morning and then scalp all morning with bigger position size?
I'm absolutely for flagging, just wanted to post some concerns.
This may be good if flagged user may mark that he does not agree with this judge, so he can explain in his own descr......

I tried to implement some probability formulas to all those data, however it turned out that going above 100% is statistically virtually impossible.
However all those calculations were made on average results and number of trade. In average 3% of trades were winners, so taking less trades gives you bigger chance for success...
Anyway, have you got any thoughts on results as statistical data..?

Hi,
Contest is done. :)
If I took no trade I would be on 8th position :D :D :D
I heard 5% make in in FX,
Here we can see 2% of winners. 1 month is not enough you would say, but what all of you must admitt is
1. Even if in long run someone would turn above 100% balance, certainly someone from top is there randomly.
2. This is short run, but there is loads of trades [of different traders] alredy traded, so if one would add up all of them I believe it would turn out to be faaar below zero sum game.
Unfortunately there's no apropriate tool, so I will try to count all trades, total res......

Whatever it was luck or plain experience [possibly both ;)] I'm glad to see more conservative [in terms of strategy] trader to win.
If a winner would be one of those scalpers that made 500% one day and go broke another I would be quite disappointed...
Very good trading, congratulations! BTW I wonder what your decision background was :)

Hi,
It have happend to me 5 or more times already, that my position suddenly closed without SL or manual closing it [like a bug in MT4] does it happen to you guys too?
It's extremaly irritating, but this never happend to me with any other broker. Therefore even if I would win, I wouldn't be able to trade those 200 trades... ;)

Not sure how much would it cost you guys. It would be incredibly handy to have SMS price alert with you.
Idea is that if you want to be alerted when price reach some lvl you recive an SMS when this occur. It's not exactly what you offer here, but it's still related to FX and certainly would keep much more [and more often] people here.
