NB 4H EA In Trading Systems Jul 13 2010 at 14:54
I was about to dump this EA last week before it finally made some $$ again. I realize that I have it set for large moves only and I am happy with that. I am thinking like blessings to move my first couple of levels to small reentries of 200 pips or less, then on greater than 3 moving them to 240+ pips dependent upon currency. I think it is unrealistic that I will get 10% per month as projected on this EA, however, my drawdown has been really low (around 3% or so most of the time). I will have to spend more time figuring out which currencies and where to scale up. So far GBPUSD is the bi......

Dumped GBPNZD as it is just too perfect to destroy this EA. It moves quickly, stops (for an entry), moves quickly stops, etc... I was at 12 levels and only 900 pips and it could easily move 2,000, so I decided to bail after a 38% retracement on the last pivot. :) I have also been exiting and doing some manual manipulation on some currencies. :)
junglist00 posted: Thanks again for info. , am currently testing blessings on eur/usd ... still trying to understand how it makes trades
Best pair to use it on in my opinion is gbpusd. It has the most up/down movement and if you look at my summary is the most profitable with the least drawdown. Worst is GBPNZD or GBPCAD/GBPAUD. Anything that trends heavy with the market. It is quite simple in a way. It figures out the trend using SMA/RSI. Default when a certain MA cross occurs it reenters if the drawdown is greater than X pips. X pips is decided upon the 'matrix' ......

I was doing the same, but gave up too early. :) I ended up giving in to the bears talk and gave me a bit of drawdown! :) I figured it was bottom or close to. Good trading though! Awesome jobs! :)

Well, I put GBPNZD on my list of pairs to be traded and thus far, I am finding it to be a bit 'hairy'. (To be removed upon close) I was warned not to use it, but thought I would give it a try as the backtests worked out OK. However, due to large spreads, it missed closing out several lower level trades and I think I am at Level 11 now. Much higher and sooner than I expected. All other pairs are working perfectly. I have another 20K I can wire into this account immediately if I get close to issue with DD. So far only at 6% DD or so. :)

Hey, this does look good. I always struggle trading this pair and if this is a grid trader, then I am curious how as my grid traders all blew up on this currency pair! Good work! Keep it going! :)

Soeren, It is good to be skeptical I believe if you are looking at it for an investment. But to criticize just off the merits of your OWN limitations is a bit challenging. I have personally seen people bring in over 100% per day trading futures consistently. So, you say, "Well, if that were me, then why would I do all the things that they do... etc..". Well, they spend their time trying to help people get a mindset wrapped around making 100% per day IS INDEED possible. So, they don't trade every day, they aren't aggressive in their trading. This company could be a scam. I s......
I agree..... If the investor doesn't understand the risk... I guess that is how a signal provider would maybe stop that in a way, but you can always rig a martingale into an ea with just more orders on currencies. I personally like MARTINGALE, however, it isn't for everyone and I do only 1/10 of my reserve. I can easily get out of it. To get 30% per month is wishing for trouble... :) Grid traders, martingales, this approach, that approach, I guess I haven't seen a whole lot that works well in FX yet. So far scalping futures has been the truly only less risk option to make a quick buc......

I guess you watched a lot of Bugs Bunny as a kid. :) Will keep track of your EA. Everyone wants to be a money manager, but so few actually want to earn a living off THEIR OWN trades. I wonder why that is.... I would think the first goal is to earn a living off of the trading (which YOU may already be doing), then offer it to others? That is my goal at least. I am almost there, but mainly due to futures trading, not forex. [roll]
