Soeren,
thanks for the advise. my knowledge of java is zero [smiley]
when I converted, the java code compiled successfully, but had to wait 9 hours for a 10-year test which yielded zero trades.
I'll be asking around. Wonder if using NinjaTrader or RightEdge and link up to forex futures on globex will be a better path forward.
In the meantime, I suppose I will just have to learn more about java.

certainly hope they develop a bridge for mt4, or some way for their platform to "copy" the orders from mt4. I tried their code converter in JForex, 1500 lines of MQL to 2400 lines of Java, and the test results didn't produce any trades. at the moment, seems that I need to learn java, or look to other 3rd party software to link to their API.

I think when you log into your MT4, under change password setting, you can change the investor password. From there you can follow the instructions and get your trading privileges verified.

geez dude, all I did was be the devil's advocate and highlight certain issues that the world audience may want to know. what did I do to deserve all this personal attack? doesn't show much maturity, and definitely not fund manager characteristics. anyway, it's your life and your game. have it your way. kindly quote the statement of my post that you deem arrogant, I didn't realise mathematical statements were arrogant. you said it yourself, 77% wins, and high drawdown on the rare few losers. that's your performance, and nothing to do with my "arrogance", I'm merely stating facts which......

well, if you get hit another time, you will need to double your account just to get back to the original starting balance. seems like you have really huge stop-loss and inverted risk/reward ratio. nothing wrong with that, as long as your plan works in the long run. 20% per month, so if I observe you for 24 months, you should be a millionaire already. I'll invest in the year 2013, if your claim is true. Best of luck.

Is there anyone willing to share their Money Management strategy? In Experienced Traders Aug 15 2010 at 14:51

"This may sound a little complex but it’s really quite logical. If the strategy starts losing, then it tends to lose several in a row. If this starts happening, we back off quickly, by reducing risk by 1% for each loss. If we’re back into winning trades, we gradually increase our risk level up to 4%, which is still reasonably conservative considering we only get to that if we have 4 or more winning trades in a row."

I have a different view. I think it all depends on the combination of strategies deployed. For my system, if I size d......

Thanks for the reply, but I will need to check out on another computer (probably a friend's computer that has never installed MT4) to verify. I will keep you posted.

I am lost here. I agree mostly with kennyhubbard's logic. If other group members withdraw their money until they have no more free margin, another 1 pip move against the position should force them to close their position (partial close of total size), where I am the only one hanging onto the losing trade with unrealised losses (half the original size), but not yet getting margin-called. When the size is reduced by half, the free margin that I have remaining will have sufficient buffer as though I went in alone right from the start.
Can anyone enlighten all of us here?

Hmm.... I tend to agree with some other members here. I subscribe to 2 ISP, make sure my notebook has backup power, and another standby notebook just in case the first one crashes. Give other people your code and it becomes their property.
Why play poker if you are so eager to show your hand? Just my own view though. Good luck with your choice of VPS.
Cheers.

Hi,
I am new here in myfxbook. I tried to log into my MT4 account using the investor password. The system says that trades are not allowed, but I was quite shocked that I was enabled to remove an EA, or attach a different EA to the chart. My concern is, how will the new attachment work? Does it execute trades? (ie, other people can attaach their EA onto my account and their robot starts to trade on my account) If I put my EA to work, is the investor log-in path able to disable my EA, and prevent the robot from doing its work?
Another concern is, when someone else logs in using the invest......
