Hi All,

Thought I would start a interesting topic. I have been doing some research and have noticed that a lot of the EAs being marketed are also sold on eBay and a very cheap price.

For example sellers are selling the Forex World Cup EAs for around 20 bucks which is a lot les than the 1000 the FRWC guys charge.

I can tell you for the money you could save it is lucrative.

Does anyone have any experience with the EAs from eBay? do they work? are they real? are they just selling their own copies or providing the EA download link which I would assume breaches some sort or rules/ laws.............

Interested in your thoughts and experiences, especially if some of these could save us money.

Ea from ebay are all cracks and thoses mentionned tested, not worth :

- ea fundamentals are for most not good
 - you won't get updates, meaning the ea won't work very long.

Save money by not buying, and keeping your capital alive also !
Any seller of ea has proved to me ( 100 of different contacts), none of them is able to give proofs that he wins money with his ea, by giving a statement of live money account not forward or backtest demo, not bas id backtest on live data server but to check by yourself if statement has been manipulated, publishing it here or mt4i website...
They win money by selling you ea, only, BEWARE this is a market scam for me, and uses tricks !

The main reason of willing to see a statement live over time, is to study impacts of updates, to see if these are done at the right time, before you lose all profits done.
The seller will never use one of his customer statement too, as they are all negatiev thanks to them...
They find pretext of confidentiality, whereas we can hide names, and just let the account number... and they still don't do anything...

Propaganda style on website with red colors..., much blabla is always not good for sure...

I propose managed account with ea made by myself... please see my profile yoorforex

Thanks All,

I think the best option for me is if I choose to purchase any EAs is to do it direct through the site and then test it on a demo account. This way I can use money back option if I am not happy with them.

I am new to the forex market and am slowly learning myself on what the best options are e.g. automated vs. manual. Due to my redundancy I am about to come into a bit of cash which i want to invest into forex so picking the right options will help me keep most of my capital.

Thanks all for the info.

If the EA is so prifitable, why would anyone sells it on ebay at huge discounts? Make no sense. So avoid at all cost.

Think about it, the present value (PV) of any asset is the income it can generate over a reasonable forecast horizon plus the residual value. If an EA was so good that it could make serious amount of money in short period of time, then why in the world would anybody sell it for $20 or $50 or even $1000. It would be worth a lot more.

From my limited experience, I think that a good EA is hard to find but I am watching a lot of portfolios on this site.

I have purchased a coupe of EAs 2 through the providers site so I can get a refund and also have fallen sucker to purchasing one off ebay as the price was so low that if it did not work it is no loss.

From what I can tell with EAs, they do tend to make money but slowly over a long period of time, however they do play the game of Russian roulette with their stop losses. Ever now and then you are going to get that bullet. You just hope that it doesn’t kill you and that you get the empty rounds more often.

As I dont have skills or know what I am doing with my manual trading, I think using these/ demo these EAs is best for me to get started until I understand the market and how to pick trades etc etc.

Id recommend you to avoid Ebay for EAs, buy it from the retailer or the developer himself, i had experience with FRWC they have a really really great customer service, i told them the Hirider EA was placing trades with the lack of accuracy though profitable, doesnt make the most out of it...
they replied saying theya re aware of it and a month later they came up with Hirider Advanced, so far by Backtesting it over a period of a years time, i dont see the multiple dramatic drops at the end of the tests very consistent wins with the EA's money management set to true.

I bought few EA`s through Ebay and almost all of them is identical to original ones, except they are cracked. I used to buy EA`s via official site, and compare it with cracked versions (tested them) and it seems they both worked the same way. There are no difference - between cracked and original version, except you won`t get future updates...

Thats the dangerous part, not getting future updates...
YOu never know how the market changes its behaviour and the only way to win after the market changed is to have the newest available update of the bot...
