Possible to be able to READ Notifications... Discussion

Possible to be able to READ Notifications and have the count on the Splash Page go back to Zero. I don't like thinking I constantly have a Notification to read AND I dont want to delete them just to clear them (sometimes I like to keep em for a little while to see a progression of messages)
