Hi,
Does anyone know of a good proven scalper that I can add on to my current trading portfolio? It must not be Asian Session, nor should it use a stop loss far larger than it's take profit. Any suggestions?

Well you have to at last prove, that system is profitable in live account so people can see, that you trust your system and dont afraid of trade with your own money. There is plenty of systems on myfxbook, which are profitable on demo, but in real forward test they are losers including high frequency scalpers, martingale strategies, statistical arbitrages, signal providers.

Ususally i test system for at last month to tell, if i like the way it trades. But before i decide mainly by 10 year backtests to analyze risk exposure and drawdown periods. Which is impossible to do with your system. So you need to start with funding your live account and have a month of trading history. Investor access would definitely help.

But i am way more careful than most of myfxbook users here. So maybe you get a lot of newbies excited by demo results. :)

ScalperEA trade only EURUSD M1. The other currency you can see in the history is made by manual trade.

That is ok, you do not need to use it.

As for me, hmm made lots of money even before putting it to myfxbook. So ScalperEA is still a winner EA.

LMAX would be qualified. And yes, 10k for a HFT start-up could be quite low compared to those multi-million dollar ultra high frequency trading operations/firms. But you virtually could do sub-second high frequency trading (hundreds trading per second) with no problem by using many off-the-shelf solutions (of course they're far more sophisticated than 'MT4' and 'scalpers EA') these days. And for those firm which have plenty resources, they might be choose R/D their own tools and systems form the ground, and often need far more time and manpower for these works since they're almost trading as many instruments as they can to reducing risks. But for low budget operations which focus only on trading few instruments these custom-built tools/systems certainly wouldn't be economic effected. Indeed, there'll be always have some 'trade-off' factors.

The answer is yes from me, I will be running the EA, although I will reduce risk. Please note though that I also have a breakout EA and a scalper running on this account. 3EAs in total. I also agree with fughe on the dangers (again, it seems! :-).

Here is why and how:
The majority of my DD is EURUSD and I feel the other two EAs (expecially the breakout) should help to compensate the DD. In addition to that I will attempt to hedge from a violent move down by placing a stop sell manual order below the recent lows on EURUSD, sizing the position according to my open positions on Tom's. The profits from the short should then compensate for the DD should that scenario play out.

Unfortunately, my recent analysis is now looking abit shaky as, although we are holding support and we had a nice bullish candlestick yesterday, today we are lacking follow through on the upside. I know the day is not over yet but a Doji candlestick is forming on the daily and that is not pretty :-(





In addition, the sea of red on 4XLounge EURUSD dashboard does not bode well for my retracement upwards.




On the positive side :-) equity indexes are still holding support into the week end and there has been no sell off in the last hour of trading...well....still 20 minutes to go.....
