Hi,
Not sure if this has been suggested. It would be good if we could introduce a voucher system for people contributing to the site. In effect if you find someone speaks a lot of sense most of the time then you can vouch for them and this shows against their profile. People using the site would then be able to bear this in mind when reading the comments or assessing systems.

This is indeed an excellent suggestion and will be implemented.

Thanks!

Be careful with this because the top systems showing 1000% gain are all from the same sockpuppet.

Good work on implementing the voucher system.

Is there anything in place to stop abuse? It might be good to see who has vouched for who. That way we can see if someone has created twenty accounts and used them to vouch themselves up to maximum.

We'll add it. It won't help opening new accounts as the new accounts will need a vouch of at least 3 before it's possible to vouch for someone.

A vouching system creates an in crowd of users that talk to each other but don't neccessarily know what they are on about.
I'm not convinced it will be of any value but I hope you prove me wrong.

In another place my signature has 'No Vouches Please' because I was strongly opposed to its introduction there in the original form they suggested some years ago. IMO it adds little value there because the majority of the members are the blind being led by the slightly less blind.

However, I'll suck it and see here but the danger is, as Ben suggests, that it may create an 'in group' who haven't got a clue but pretend they have. There is an obvious element of that elsewhere.

In the meantime I've already got a vouch so I guess thanks are due to MFB. Thank you. And I'll vouch for Ben and Steve above if I can. I guess the option will be available when I get to the magical 3. If I ever do.eek

I'm sure there is a danger that there could become an 'in crowd' and there is no guarantee that those people actually know what they are talking about.

My original suggestion came about as I felt that there is a high chance of MyFxBook being abused by unscrupulous marketeers. Adding a vouch system will allow people to easily see whether somebody touting the latest super system actually has any credibility and whether their systems or services should be investigated further.

I'm sure we will end up with people on here that have been vouched for that know little about trading, make no money doing it and will sooner or later disappear off to some other profession.

What it will hopefully also do is prevent the people trying to scam people out of there hard earned money from gaining the credibility they need to do so.

I'll happily vouch for WhyLose. His work on here in trying to expose dubious business practices is exemplary.

I just noticed 5 like and 3 dislike this suggestion. I haven't voted as I'm currently in the neutral camp. It does appear magically when you're at 3 vouches. Vouches for Steve and Ben done. Thanks for your kind words Steve.
