I recommend you change the settings for the theme and set your preferences, just like you did with MT4
once I customized the profile to make it what I wanted, I found Java Platform very suitable. Also I can sign in from almost any computer without having to deal with any software Look at the difference between their Ugly Nasty Default Setting:  And my theme here that is customized: (still yours can be better!)  but just my opinion, don't dismiss the oanda platform so soon, there are some advantages here. need the mt4 platform as well to load my EA, don't have the time to mannually put in the effort for a contest.

Can some one tell me how do I increase my leverage. Currently it is 1:20 whereas for most its 1:50 ...

when you login to the platform look at the html page there is a section that says leverage click that then log out of everything and log back in. (myfxbook and oanda log out of both confirm when you log back in the setting took)
