Physical gold could be great long term investment.
But you can't use it to pay your bills. You won't go to DASAFE tell guys hey cut me 10 grams of my gold I am going to sell it and pay mortgage.
Except gold or silver coins during the war:) And there will be war soon or later as always.
Anyway for people who does trade for living (and for paying bills) physical gold in not an option.
There are forex systems that can give you 5-10% monthly and with corresponding deposit that could be the way to make enough profit for living.

Also, I would keep gold reserve mostly in 50 and maybe 100 gramms bars, as in case of a calamity it is much easier to exchange them for goods...
Looking at your strategy's performance Tomas, you won't need to worry too long about paying bills, but rather about the size of the safe you are going to place your gold bars into... 😄

true, there are alot of products now you get gold in mini sizes for easier payments. even a big bar worth can allow you to go buy war food for like a year or two(beans,tuna etc)
It is to be part of the portfolio not all of it

As a second thought, one may want to place the gold bars in a safe in a less war-risk country or continent. One which has not seen war in the past century and is unlikely to get involved in a military conflict in the near future... Besides, politically and economically stable.

I agree but I would prefer to use gold coins instead of bars

In this thread you are looking for volunteers to do the 'dirty work' and test them first manually on demo accounts... Do those people know that you are distributing their strategies to total strangers...??
