Hi SaltyWaters!

What kind of a deviation are you mainly interested in in your trading?

Warm regards,

Yes of course. What a stupid question=D

But I've got to ask, as you clearly have a fantastic system, what do you combine them with? Surely you don't use them by themselves. I thought maybe you were referring to some kind of a divergence as well?

DWaver is a Swing Trader not a Day Trader or Scalper, he holds a position for long periods of time, sometimes for days not in hopes but he sure knows that the price will meet him or he will meet the price somewhere and sometime someday.
He calculates its Stop Loss and Take Profit internally.
He doesn't close its positions for the weekend because Forex is a 24/7 business.

DWaver v3.1 [4] has replaced DWaver v3.0 on Sept. 27, 2011 and will be leading the journey from now on.
DWaver v3.1 [4] is a less conservative mode compared to v3.1 [2] and [3] but at the same time not too aggressive as v3.0 .

The strategy is based on Fibonasshole numbers and Ocean waves. [ just kidding :) ]

PAMM accounts are now available upon request on a 50/50 deal.

Investors ( before contacting me) should understand the risk of having a robot or a human being placing trades in their accounts and the consequences of a failure be it technical or human error and take full responsibility for the outcome. Power failures, computer crashes, earthquakes and all kinds of storms or bad weather are included and possibly other stuff that I can't even think of.
It's your money it's your responsibility to keep it safe. The Bank is still (probably) the best place to keep your money safe - not forever though but it is up to you to make that decision.

For the ones who asked me if I have results for over a longer period of time. I actually do:

With FXDD I have results since June 2010 but the reason I don't have it on display is because that was one of my first accounts that I started in 2007 and if you recall from reading my posts in other threads it was one of the accounts that I blew up in the beginning of my trading days. So it doesn't look good at the first sight but I'll attach some screenshots since June 2010 when I placed the EA on the chart, for you to have an idea. Keep in mind in October 2010 (if you remember from my previous posts) it's when I manually closed my screw up while traveling on holidays.

Well here it goes:

Your floating loss is a little excessive for the monthly return., but it still looks like an interesting system.

Duration charts displays loses are held for long periods of time while TP is normally hit within a few days. Overall it looks good.

Abs gain = Gain, so you're adding money it keep it afloat.

Trades many pairs and profitable too.

and this looks outstanding - https://www.myfxbook.com/members/SaltyWaters/dwaver-v31-1/164724

so v31.1 is the latest update and it will take over your current logic on this current system/account?

https://www.myfxbook.com/members/SaltyWaters/dwaver-v31-2/164728

and this account is at 68% . ''DWaver v3.1 [2] is using the DWaver v3.0 strategy but in a semi-conservative mode.''

What are the main differences in your two versions? It is just the pairs you decided to trade?

Will you be using

1. Fair Trading Tech for MT4 platform to manage accounts at Duka
2. Use bridge to send signals into Jforex
3. automation in jforex with your current mql strategy?

@Will Schaarrand

Thanks for your comments.

Yes the duration of the open trades are long sometimes as I have described but that is part of the strategy they will close when there's a signal to close it. It may happen within minutes or days.

I haven't added any funds to the account since the beginning and I don't plan to add any whatsoever. Quite the opposite I have withdrawn some money.

The difference between DWaver strategies is quite simple: number of trades open.
The original DWaver v3.0 plays 14 pairs which is a little dangerous if they open all at the same time. So I have reduced the risk by controlling the number of pairs opened at the same time. DWaver v3.1 [3] plays max 3 open trades. DWaver v3.1 [2] max 2 pairs only at the same time. DWaver v3.1 [1] max 1 pair only.

Doing this I may last a little longer in the game and the chances of blowing up are reduced. 😄
At the same time the pairs being traded may not be the same in each strategy.

In regards to Dukas I'm converting my systems to jforex which is not an easy task due to the lack of documentation for jforex but Dukascopy seems to have faster execution and lower spreads and doesn't use dirty tricks to screw you up.

I'll be ceasing doing business and closing my accounts at FXCM (click links to see accounts) soon not because the accounts blew out but for the following reason (see below email received from FXCM).

                                                                                 ***
Due to regulatory changes made in October of 2009 by the British Columbia Securities Commission, FXCM Canada Limited ceased doing business in Canada. FXCM had to close any existing accounts held by British Columbia residents at that time. As your account was migrated to FXCM from ODL Securities, with whom you initiated your trading relationship, your account was not part of the previous screening process. As we cannot continue to service your account in the current setup, we can offer you the following option:

FXCM has just begun a new relationship with Friedberg Direct*. We are pleased to notify you of the emergence of FXCM Canada offered by Friedberg Direct* which would allow you to continue to utilize FXCM products. Initially the MT4 platform will not be available, but we plan on making it available shortly.

If you choose not to open an account with FXCM Canada offered by Friedberg Direct*, we will unfortunately need to close your account and return your remaining balance to you. Please contact us with direction on how you would like to proceed as soon as possible.

FXCM Canada offered by Friedberg Direct* offers excellent execution and easy accessibility to our clients. We provide live support 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

I'm considering as well closing my accounts at FXDD because I don't like their service neither their execution. May not be right away but it may happen in the near future.

I'll be opening new accounts with new MT4 Brokers to keep track on my MT4 strategies.

Here you have it Willie!

Sorry if I disappointed you but the account didn't blow! 😄( I really had to close it for the reason I've stated before)

Just to let you know in advance I will delete the closed accounts soon, more likely by next week, so I'll give you a few days to look at it. (let me know when you're done)

Meanwhile you can look at this one https://www.myfxbook.com/members/SaltyWaters/noodle-dream/186059 even though I did screwed it up testing a new EA the account is still in good shape. This account was brought from ashes since June 2010 using dWaver up to 859% then I decide to try a new EA on it and the result is sitting now at 438% and a DD of 44.71% from 28%.

Anyhow this is the price one pays when testing on Real accounts, but no worries it will climb up again.
I've added Fibonasshole to the account to give it a little push upwards. https://www.myfxbook.com/members/SaltyWaters/fibonasshole/192524

Here is another Real one with Fibonasshole and dWaver https://www.myfxbook.com/members/SaltyWaters/dragon-warrior/186050

and there's a few more new strategies coming soon on Live/Real accounts.

By the way if you see my accounts gone private sometimes it's because I've decided to do so without anything to hide but just because I wanted to do so on my own decision and freedom to do so.

Cheers, all good in here!
