hello, anybody face the trouble with TOMs EA on 27 Aug?

about 8 abnormal trades in my MT4 account with TOMs EA. .
usually my trade start size with TOMS EA with 10% risk is 0.01 lots.

on 27 Aug, suddently 3 standard lots, 5 standard lots and 10 standard lots traded in my account. I am doubting some people login my MT4 which on VPS and initiated the trades. But the trading comment is from TOMs EA V1.96.

I and Ivan who is kind support from TOMs EA side tried to identified this issue, unfortunatley we could not find any abnormal from TOMs EA.

what happend to my account with this EA? large size trade is normal for this TOMs EA?

anybody here had the similiar experience?

thank you!

crane

No, I am running all 28 major/minor pairs with mine, nothing out of the ordinary
happened on any pair. The largest order was a 9X size on eur/aud.

Hi Drew,
thank you for your information!

I also don't think TOMs EA issue because I have long time expereince with TOMs EA, I knew the habit of this EA.

but I could not understand why the 'comment' for the abnormal trades is from 'TOMs EA 1.96' which is same to other usual trades by TOMs EA. (some one I closed munaully and closed by margin call, 'TOMs EA 1.96' is not in the comments.)

I attached the screen short for the abnormal trades!

thank you for your advice!

very confused the logic behind this issue.

Best regards
crane

Just found out,

1) the comment for abnormal trade is 'TOMs' EA 1.96', the comments for the normal trade iss 'TOM's EA 1.96',
2) the magic code for the abnormal trade: no any magic code, that means this abnormal trade should be placed by manually or by some program, not by TOM's EA as usually?

the question is why some one login in my MT4 on VPS to place the abnormal trades by using the very closed comment to TOM's EA1.96'

I think this problem should be not from TOMs EA, but from VPS sides.

I hope you have already changed your password to your VPS and contacted support about the successful hack of your VPS. This is a very serious problem, and if someone is trying to make this EA look bad so you will stop using it....they completely have the capacity to wipe your account right at this very moment.

I have changed the password and remove MT4 from VPS, unfortunately, yesterday, one IP still log in my account during my online support with broker. broker notice. this IP is abnormal IP from myfxbook.com after I track IP address (184.154.132.102 ), hostname:general2.myfxbook.com

https://www.ip-tracker.org/locator/ip-lookup.php?ip=184.154.132.102

I am not sure why some people from myfxbook.com can log in my account even I have uninstalled MT4 from VPS (that means the update EA from myfxbook.com has been stopped). Even Update EA still there, there is right for myfxbook.com to log in my account?

So I removed all account connection between myfxbook and MT4.

I am still investigating this issue with broker, TOMs EA and VPS, if you have any suggestion will be very helpful.

Hi everyone (that cares..;). One of my experiments of ignoring all orders smaller
than 6X has just completed. I consider complete when the account balance doubles.

I used a $2,000,000 'Pitcher' account running Tom's EA and 4 'Catcher'
accounts of $50K each. The 6X Catcher doubled to $100K after 6 weeks.
3X and 12X are behind and still growing. 9X's MT4 or TradeCopier database
got corrupt and crashes immediately after launch - but not before it made it
to $89K from $50K. I'll post the others when/if they complete...

Here are the links:

Hope this helps for your research, as a pretty good, albeit Demo, forward test.

very interesting results. you meant you use 6x starting martingal level? waiting for the more demo results.
by the way, for 6x cacther, you will continue to see the long term performance?

HI Drew, excellent work!

how did you decide the lots size in your catcher account? for 6x level, your 2M account traded at 6 standard lots, but your 6x catcher use 0.45lot size for your G/U pair on the 12 July. how to decide this risk rule? thanks!
