How many pips a day ?

While there can’t be an exact answer to this question as trading X amount of pips each day is unrealistic since markets do not move in a predictable manner . This question is relative to every trader and his strategy . Setting up a target of making X pips a day is a really difficult thing to do. Such a daily target shall be ineffective as it encourages more trading when strategy is ineffective and vise versa. Also , number of pips per pay will depend on a trader’s strategy and his goals.
So what would be a good target? Maybe a monthly target? I think that targets are good as it can keep us focused and looking for trade

About 200 to 300 a month is an okay start. You can always research and keep learning as you go.

If you look at a daily analysis, it’ll be a very short time and you should probably look at average pips per month. You can also set a 2 to 3 month target on them and analyse. Pips also depend upon your trade duration so you can check accordingly. I don’t really like setting pip based targets and I like my simple profitable system. For brokers, I sometimes trade with Ig or Xm and at times with Etoro and Fxview. But with all them I focus on trading the trends in a 4 hour timeframe.

yes daily is way to short. Some days I make 0 pips. other days 100pips. But over a month it is much more even

I been only trading for a year. I have resources that I get my education from and I get free trades, maybe 10 per day. I average around 100 pips a day. Some day are higher some days area little lower. I would love to connect with other traders.

You can probably try to make a monthly analysis of them and not limit them to a day or two. Good luck.

Having a goal is good for trading. But do not force your trading to achieve that result.

Probably around 200 to 300 pips on a monthly basis works for me.

Learn as much as possible. However, don’t trade without a proper trade setup.
