I still have some open long usdjpy opened at 120. TP is at 121, 122 and 125. In case I would have closed at 110 and opened again 3 positions with 121, 122 and 125 I would probably have done the same when it went down to 100. By now I could have had 3 open positions, all with 1500 pip profit. It's kind a hard not to close them.
Also sseing positions in deep red makes me more aware I should be carefull all the time and always keep calculating what it means if it goes another 500, 1000 or even 2000 pips against me.

Yes, trading PSYCHOLOGY is a major LIVE test for each trader, which comes after developing a good strategy and running it on larger and larger accounts.
Usually there is a tipping point. For me it was when 3-digit profits and losses were jumping up and down on my screen... I just could not make any more rational decisions, even though I had a trading plan. (You know: ''Plan your trade and trade your Plan.'')
In other words: I have failed that test - even after reading many books on trading psychology - so for the past years I have been concentrating on automated trading.
Some advantages:
1. No emotions, no anxiety, no fear or greed.
2. More free time, better sleep.
3. And finally: There is nothing better than making profits while sleeping (especially while trading the Asian session from Europe).

I do agree with point 2 and 3.
3 is awesome while experiencing it ^^
Point 1 is still here and there, because I watch opened trade... even demo account I feel it. I would add euphoria too.
If I start my strategy that I'm testing by now from last 2 years in 2017, I'll post back here in 2019 ^^

I prefer not to watch the trades as many times I felt the temptation to click on ''CLOSE'' while watching. Either out of FEAR or GREED.

We are all suffering from the same temptation especially when at home... During work, I watch from myfxbook or forexFactory.
I have implemented pyramidage (adding trades)... so if x% is reached, EA will close all profit. OMG, EA has finally clicked the CLOSE button by itself ^^

99% accounts have been deleted or haven't been updated since ages.
I check systems here because I wanted to compared the last ratio provided by myfxbook 'GHPR' from advanced statistics.
Not the right place.
By the way @FxMasterGuru , have you summarized systems that meet all criterias... or the challenge hasn't been completed by anyone yet?

This thread was started almost 3 YEARS ago, but so far no strategy has fully qualified for the mentioned criteria, even though these criteria would be SUBOPTIMAL for me as I would not invest in any strategy with worse than 1 : 1 Monthly Profit : Max. DD ratio, and the title would accept strategies even with a 1 : 5 ratio.
Over the past years I have seen many ''VERIFIED'', HAND CRAFTED ''amazing'' strategies on MyFxBook created and housed by offshore scam brokers with the intention of attracting clients and funds - creating a new type of Ponzi scheme - eventually crashing the accounts with ONE SINGLE ''bad trade''...
So - in view of these newest scams - I would add one more criteria to the title: Only those accounts qualify which are running at reputable, ASIC/FCA regulated mainstream brokers.

Thanks, Tomas! The first one uses Martingale, so it would not qualify, however, the 2nd and 3rd DO QUALIFY for the criteria.
Since their Monthly Profit : Max. DD ratio (1 : 5 and 1 : 4) are below my personal preference of 1 : 1 (or better), I would not invest with any of them.

Just click the custom analysis page and exclude first 2 months ie, start from Feb 2010 and you will see the average gain is less than 2% and dd is 9.52% and look at the pips per month , except for initial few months it is pathetic.

So, I'm hoping this thread will still exist in the next two years from now and at that time hopefully I can proof myself into this criterias. After tired with so many indicators, starting this Nov trading w/o indicators, and get 75% profit alone in this Dec with DD 22%. But, this is only the beginning. Wish me luck....

Don't worry, in 2 years time, this thread will be alive.
1 month trading performance isn't relevant because this period of time was just favorable to your strategy.
Anyway, I wish you success, but don't rely too much on luck^^
I think I'm the only one who can really challenge this.... The preparation was over 2 years!

Might be worth checking out Shaun Overton , I have been following his stuff for awhile now,seems pretty genuine.
